Our Delta Faucet Extension Kit - 3 & 6-Setting Diverter MODEL#: RP75137 would not work for your 144984C-OB-A. I have included a link below to the extension kit that would work properly for your shower unit. Hi Driver, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! From the stud to the finished wall it is recommended to be 2 3/4" inches =/- 1/8" inch. The extension adds another 1" inch to the stem.
