Tab is too easily broken!!
Just installed the Arm shower with 6 way diverter, everything is great except for this one piece. The tab is too easily broken on this. Just putting it on exactly how the instructions say to install it will cause it to break! Delta needs to design a change and make the tab a little more robust.

Poor design
We bought a Delta shower column and faucet. When it was all installed we attempted to put on the temperature knob and cover and they don't fit together. On top of that, they are plastic. We thought we were buying a quality product. Very Disappointed!!!

cheap plastic. lip broke off.

Ordering My Fourth One
Love the style and function of this shower set, but like everyone else here says - this cap does not hold up. The plastic tabs keeping it attached are way too brittle and weak.

Broken Tabs
The supplied temperature handle broke on the first attempt to use after the plumber installation. The plastic tabs used to secure the piece are a very poor design in an area of the knob with relatively high contact and usage. No thought seems to have been placed on durability or maintenance in this particular piece of engineering.

Poor Quality
We have purchased multiple Delta faucets and have been pleased with their products in the past unfortunately we cannot say the same about this product. The The temperature control knob is plastic cap and breaks very easily. Very disappointed in this product we now need to spend additional money to replace the part and are having difficulty finding it locally.

Poor quality cap
The cap for the Ara 17 shower trim breaks if not on installation them the first time you have to take it off- very poor design to use plastic for the tabs to secure the cap

They don't last long
We've gone through 4 of these in our 4 years and need to replace another one now and I expect we'll have a need for another soon. They feel like cheap plastic when you put them on and they last about as long as you'd expect from cheap plastic parts. At least so far the Delta customer service has been pretty good about standing behind their products.

Piece of Plastic
Delta used to be the standard for good bathroom fixtures, but I have 2 of these covers and both have broken within 2 years. Come to find out they are just cheap plastic, well not cheap as they are over $25 to replace. I see that Delta has now gone the way of most companies, profit over quality.

Thank you for your question. To install the temperature cap and knob; secure temperature control knob with screw and then hook front of temperature control cover onto knob before engaging rear snap.

I also need to remove a temp control cover on a brand new faucet. I thought I could put the cover on temporary & then go back and finish job and finish the installation later. Where exactly do I pry since the tab is hidden & what is "tip" in A2?

How do you remove this cap to adjust the temperature.

Thank you for your question. If you need to remove the handle or adjust the Rotational Limit Stop, remove the cover by prying it off at the tip. The finished cover simply snaps onto the knob.

The Delta Temp knob RP75440 is removed by grabbing the wider part of the handle and popping it off. The knob is snapped onto the temperature control.

I have a Dyson bathtub faucet. And an RP46463 dual control valve cartridge. My temperature knob feels loose or wobbly. It appears to be snapped all the way on. Is there a replacement for the temp knob? Dyson or universal?
