How do I remove this product from installed position so that I can install a mirror?

The escutcheon will have to be removed before a mirror can be installed. It is held in place by this product and disassembly seems the best option. I can find no installation instructions, making it a risky adventure, at best.

Hi Mitch, Thank you for your question. The RP75494 sleeve connector has internal threads and threads onto the rough in valve. You should be able to remove the connector by unscrewing the part in a counter-clockwise direction. Thanks, Dave

What does a spout adaptor do? Is there any way to use the Tesla wall mount faucet for a bathtub?

Thank you for your question, Charlie! The spout adapter secures the spout to the pipes coming from the wall. It also has an o ring, to prevent leaks from the back of the spout. Model T3552LF-WL is a wall mount tub faucet in the Tesla collection. I Recently updated my bathroom with new tiles. The faucet is a three handle bronze with the middle being a diverter.  The faucet I think dates back to 1990. The problem is that the pipe for the spout is shorter now because of the tile.
