Cheap part breaks easily
Brand new house we built 2 years ago. Love this shower but, this piece popped off within days of moving in. Never stayed on until finally it broke and I found this to replace it. This product does not live up to the delta quality and I am extremely disappointed. If i could remodel and replace the whole fixture I would. Do not buy this shower set. The product is made of plastic and not durable. This is not what I would expect from a delta product. also the black finish on the hand piece hose started wearing off within months and flakes off on the shower floor.

Same issues as everyone else
Broken plastic temp controller in the kids bathroom of all places. Similar complaint as the others. Expensive unit with a plastic clip on temp controller that won’t stay connected. Remodeled their bathroom over the summer and could not get the temperature control to stay on the unit from day one. At first I thought it was due to install error by the plumber, our guys are pretty good and reliable but figured hey anyone can make a mistake. Nope it’s the design and there is no way this design was tested and passed by Delta without realizing a heavily flawed control design. Definitely not on par with previous Delta brand reliability and certainly cut corners where they shouldn’t have on this. Should have been metal controller and for certain a set screw to keep in place to prevent the cover from randomly popping off. Again this is installed in my 8 and 9 year old son’s bathroom who have been burned a few times trying to adjust the temp when the thing pops off. I tried calling support and I’m number 128 in the queue. I call back later and I’m number 61. I’m on hold for 45 min only to move up to number 43 position on hold. Come on man you guys have done better and can do much better that what we are experiencing as your customers. Right now the beautiful shower we just finished remodeling this summer for the kids is now inoperable due to the temp controller. 10k spent on that bathroom and we can’t use the shower due to a faulty cheap controller is ridiculous.

Plastic = breakage
Looked great but plastic part breaks, same problem as the last reviewer.
Replaced with much cheaper new Delta since it didn’t cost much more than the parts.

Bought this entire kit for a LOT OF MONEY
The plastic handle breaks almost no matter what when you take it off even following the directions in the owners manual. I’ve got $600 in this without labor and can’t even use it because I have to order this part again for $50. Very very dissatisfied with the design. Should have been made just like the handle at the top out of metal with a set screw. Even on once I get this I’ll sure I’ll have to order another because it will have to come back off to adjust the temperature and I’m sure it will break again. Very dissatisfied

Temp Knob
All handles are metal except the temp knob it is plastic. Why? For the price I expected better.

4 years old. Temperature regulation will not stay steady. We twist temperature to full heat, then must slightly decrease because gets too hot, then goes completely cold moments later despite minimal decrease on dial. Replace regulator? Solutions?

The spool and sleeve, the part of the Monitor pressure balance valve that blends the hot and cold water, may not be working properly. Mineral deposits can prevent the spool from moving freely. The spool should shake in the cartridge when the cartridge is shaken.
See here for instructions to soak the cartridge in 50/50 white vinegar and water.
