Rated 1 out of 5 by from Paint started peeling off the hose about 3 months after instal! the product looked great but approximately 3 months after the instal we started to notice the paint peeling/chipping off the hose. Up by the handle as time progressed more paint came off and now it looks cheap and not durable at all. we paid good money hoping for a Delta named product would last and this definitely didn't. Not even a year old yet and it looks like a cheap aftermarket RV shower line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor coating quality The coating quality is so poor that we only use it for a month and the coast has started peeling. We move in our new apartment in early August. As a hand shower of our main bathroom we were like to have a set of product with both good looking and good quality which can last longer then other brands so we chose Delta thought it can't be wrong to have such a big brand. We are wrong. After one month normal using, the coating on the pipe starts peeling off makes the whole product looks ugly and cheap. DON'T BUY IT.

They are really nice in a matte black finish and looks great in our master bath! The shower head has great pressure and easily adjusts to all angles. The water streams out and is capable of reaching a far distance bc we have a bench across the shower and the water has no problem reaching! We love these fixtures so much that we are now adding them to another shower remodel and are going to get the wall sprayers as well!

It’s sleek and attractive looking, simple to install and well built. The flexible hose is metal and the handheld is a sturdy plastic. The holder has a friction adjustment so you can move it around while in the holder or tighten it to keep it fixed in place. Downsides are plastic handheld instead of metal and does not come with elbow which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

It holds up to being dropped as it is used primarily by my 10 year old. Color is amazing and it was easy to install. It is such a great product that when we remodel our master, I will be purchasing this again.

Does the 55085 have a flow restricted?

Hello Frank, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Compel® Premium Single-Setting Adjustable Wall Mount Hand Shower and I am happy to assist you today. This model has a built in flow restrictor which allows for 1.75 gallons of water to flow through the wand per each minute the unit runs. I want to plumb hand shower 55085 as a seperate fixture, not with a diverter from a shower or tub. Can I use trim T17253 and valve R10000-unbx w/ it?

Hi James, Thank you for your question. If you want to use the 55085 as the only shower head we recommend going with the T17053 valve only trim, the R10000-UNBX, and the 50570 wall elbow. If you plan on using the showerhead that comes with the T17253 trim and the 55085 hand shower you will have to install some type of either shower arm diverter or an in wall diverter using our R11000 diverter rough and the T11853 diverter trim. Is the hand shower ADA compliant? Can it be made compliant with a vertical bar for adjustable height? If not, do you have a matte black hand shower that is ADA compliant? Thanks.

Thank you for your question, Jennie! Model 55085-BL by itself is not ADA compliant and should never be used for support however this hand shower can be used on an ADA compliant slide bar such as model 56302. Unfortunately we do not offer an ADA compliant slide bar in the Matte Black finish. I want to add this or something similar to my shower. My shower has the Kya set installed. How do I get the handheld to work at times and the showerhead at other times? If I need a diverter can it be on the lower part where you turn on the water?
