Will this work on a a 2-1/4" copper stub from the wall no threads? Also can I get a link to the instructions before purchasing to make sure this will work?

Asked by: Matt83
Thank you for your question, Matt83! The tub spout RP19820 is a slip on tub spout. This installs on a 1/2" C.W.T. (copper water tube). This pipe must extend 1/4 - 1/2" between the threaded portion of the adapter to the finished wall. If it is necessary to cut the copper tube, the end must be chamfered free of burrs to prevent cutting or nicking the O-ring inside the spout. Further information can be found on page 5 of the installation manual below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/68881%20Rev%20G.pdf Best regards, Edward

Will this work to replace my existing tub spout?

I have a delta tub spout in my house, which was built in the late 1990's. The plumbing is a copper stub with threads at the end and soldered into it is a brass fitting. The tub spout has a plastic piece that goes over the brass fitting and then the tub spout itself turns into the plastic piece. The copper stub is too small to do anything with it, so I need to replace the tub spout with the exact same type. Will this tub spout work?
Asked by: Andrew The Plumber
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP19820 is a slip-on spout for a 1/2 inch copper pipe. As long as your old spout is a slip-on spout, then this new one will work.

Im looking for a solid metal bathtub spot with a solid metal diverter threaded 1/2 inch. Where can I find that? Seems like every spout ive seen in the past month that Ive been looking has some kind of plastic or it's a slip on.

Asked by: kyle
Thank you for your question, Kyle! RP61357BN is a metal diverter tub spout that can be threaded directly onto 1/2" IPS. The RP64721SS spout will slip onto 1/2" copper piping that extends 1 1/4” to 1 1/2” from the finished wall or the slip-on adapter can be removed to allow it to thread into a 1/2" nipple that extends 3 7/8"- 4" from the wall. Please note our Brushed Nickel and Stainless Steel finishes are very similar in appearance however none of our tub spouts will include a metal diverter. Non-metallic components are used instead to provide a longer lasting, durable product. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP61357BN https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP64721SS Best regards, Edward

Why does my newly installed tub spout with diverter not shut off, drop down when shower handle is moved to the off position? Only drops sometimes, but very infrequently. When it doesn't drop, will sometimes drops when handle is turned on and off briefly.
