Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blah delta tub faucet I returned Not what I was looking for-no aerator and a cheap gate mechanism inside rather than a push-pull design (not talking about the thing you see).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the best purchase and just what we were looking for. Couldn't fine this in any big box stores in our area but found it on this site. Contractor put a tub spout in that was too short so Build.com had what we needed. Can't go wrong. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy and solid brass [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted solid brass and this faucet is a tremendous value. I bought a long one so that if you want to wash your hair under the faucet, it would reach out far enough for you to stick your head under it. We are very happy with it

Is there a oil rubbed bronze or Venetian bronze spout that will work on a rp12307 adapter? Thanks

Asked by: 67Cougar
Thank you for your question, 67Cougar! Many of our Delta tub spouts work with this RP12703 adapter, such as the RP51303, RP34357, RP52148, etc. Please click the link below to browse our selection of tub spouts. On the product details page it will list the installation type. If the spout works with this adapter, the "Product Features & Benefits" tab show that it can "Sweat onto 1/2″ C.W.T." and "Thread onto 1/2″ IPS". http://www.deltafaucet.com/bath/showering-components/filter-results.html?sort=pricehighlow&type=type-showercomp-tubspouts&function=bath-showering-components&page=2&count=15 Best regards, Tanya

I’m looking for an oil rubbed bronze replacement faucet for a pipe that extends about 4 1/16” from the wall. The one that I previously purchased is too short.

Asked by: Mpool
Thank you for your question, Mpool! Unfortunately we do not currently offer a longer tub spout in this finish. The RP64721 spout will slip onto 1/2" copper piping that extends 1 1/4” to 1 1/2” from the finished wall. The slip-on adapter can be removed to allow it to thread into a 1/2" nipple that extends 3 7/8"- 4" from the wall. Silicone sealant may be used where the base meets the wall if there is still a slight gap. Best regards, Edward

How does the tub spout RP64721SS slip on adapt to 1/2 pipe thread attachment?

Asked by: dumber 55
Thank you for your question, dumber 55! This tub spout can either be installed as a slip-on to 1/2" copper pipe and held on with a set screw or threaded directly onto 1/2" IPS. The spout includes a threaded adapter however this can be removed if it is not needed. Further information on installing this tub spout can be found in the Maintenance and Installation manual on page 5. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/68881%20Rev%20M.pdf Best regards, Edward

Screw-on installation

My copper pipe extends 3 7/8 inches from the wall and is threaded at the end. Will this product fit that connection? If not, do you have a tub spout that does?
Asked by: LR
Hi LR, Thank you for your question! The RP64721SS will not work on your current pipe. When installing this slip-on tub spout, the tubing should be cut 1 ½ – 2 ¾” from the finished wall with a tubing cutter. We do not have an available tub spout in the Brushed Stainless Steel finish that would attached to your 3 7/8 pipe. Best regards, Brandis

I've done the slip on installation and tightened with the set screw. The spout itself seems free to spin around that connection though. Is that normal? How do I stop that rotation?

Asked by: eric93
Thank you for your question, eric93. The insert will unscrew from the tub spout near the front for a threaded connection. Please ensure that the insert is fully threaded into the spout (but avoid over-tightening) before tightening the set screw. We also recommend using a thin bead of silicone between the spout and wall to help secure it as well. Best regards, Jon

No installation instructions included - will this work on a Delta Copper sweat pipe?

I am updating from an old Delta spout that is fit on what is described in other of your manuals as a "copper sweat" installation. This unit appears to be for a smooth 1/2" copper pipe. Can it be made to work on the threaded "copper sweat"? (C3 in the drawing attached).
Asked by: PaulR
So, the answer is no. Is there a stainless tub spout with a diverter that will fit this connection? I would rather not cut holes in walls and re-pipe. Just want to go from the old brass to Stainless. I was able to change everything else easily. The info on the site was misleading as it indicated that it would fit all three types of pipe...

Looking for a tub spout

Hi, I'm looking for a tub spout w/diverter to replace an extremely old fixture. Will this unit fit this sort of connection (see attached picture)?
Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. The part in the photo appears to be an older version of our RP12307 adapter. The RP17453SS or the RP19820SS will work with this adapter. New House - Spout diverter defective

We moved into a new build and did not discover the bath tub spout diverter was bad until we tried to give our baby a bath and got soaked as the water flow leaked up out the shower head. Is there any warranty associated with new, defective parts?
Asked by: Kate
Hi Kate, Thank you for your question. Most likely, you are experiencing "shower-rise" where the water can’t get out of the spout as fast as it flows through the valve. This causes the water to back up and come out the shower head. There can be one of several reasons for this: The valve could be upside down The length from the valve to the tub spout is outside of the 8" to 18" rule There is more than one 90-degree angle Something other than copper or galvanized pipe was used going to the spout The most common reason is that there is something restricting the water flow to the spout, e.g. solder or something lodged in the pipe. Something is impeding the flow of water to the spout and causing it to back up and go out the shower head. If this is the cause of shower-rise it is possible to remove the blockage by removing the tub spout; then, feeding a plumber’s snake or a speedometer cable up through the tub drop. The act of feeding it causes it to twirl and loosen the blockage. Be sure to flush the valve before reinstalling the tub spout. Be sure to check the tub spout itself for blockage. If none of these help, you may need to call a plumber. After the shower has been installed and the wall has been closed, there is little that can be done to remedy this situation yourself.
