Thank you for your question, Db186! The water restrictor is not a part that can be removed. Doing so will allow debris into the shower head which will void the warranty and could damage the unit. Instead we recommend purchasing a shower head with a higher flow rate. Hi Carol123, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Bleach is not recommended. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. If extra measures are needed, a solution of 50% distilled white vinegar (not apple cider or balsamic vinegar) and water could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward and wipe dry. If additional cleaning is required, use well-diluted dish soap as you would with your glassware. Additionally, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use.
