Preguntas frecuentes
What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a highly effective water purification process that dramatically reduces contaminants in drinking water like microplastics, lead, arsenic and PFAS while the custom-tailored carbon post-filter also removes chlorine, VOCs and pesticides.
Unlike basic water filters that physically screen dirt and sediment particles, reverse osmosis uses high pressure to push drinking water through a semi-permeable membrane, removing larger contaminant molecules while allowing smaller water molecules to pass through.
Why is Delta tackling reverse osmosis?
We’ve spent more than 70 years transforming the way people connect to water. Bringing the Delta® standard of excellence to in-home water filtration felt like the next natural step as we continually innovate and optimize water products for our customers, who were asking for trusted solutions.
We strive to give more people control over their water quality. Backed by rigorous testing and certification standards, Delta brings expertise and purposeful design to make a uniquely technical space easier to understand, access and trust in clean, filtered water at home.
Why is the Delta Tankless RO System better than some other tankless RO systems?
The Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System is engineered from the inside out with Delta Faucet innovative technology that provides the compact convenience and water efficiency of tankless systems with the comprehensive, certified filtration performance of leading RO systems.
The Clarifi™ Tankless RO System is designed to be as user-friendly as possible and ensure high-quality filtered water. Easy to install and maintain, our tankless system saves space under your sink and is certified against NSF standards to filter out more than 90 contaminants, including lead, microplastics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nitrates, and heavy metals.
Easy-to-use with simple filter maintenance, the Clarifi™ Tankless RO System optimizes reverse osmosis for your home.
What is the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System certified to remove from drinking water?
The Clarifi™ Tankless Reverse Osmosis system is certified against National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) standards to remove more than 90 contaminants from drinking water, including microplastics, lead, arsenic, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nitrates, and heavy metals. We rigorously tested our system, meeting six NSF certifications: NSF-58, NSF-42, NSF-53, NSF-401, ASSE 1086 and NSF-372.
Why is the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System tankless?
Tankless systems are generally more water efficient, ensure continuous water flow, and take up less space under your sink than tanked RO systems. They’re also generally easier to maintain than tanked systems, which need to be emptied and cleaned.
How long do the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System filters last? Are they hard to change?
The system’s carbon and reverse osmosis filters and optional remineralizer cartridge are designed to last through 1,320 gallons (5000 liters) or up to two years, so they can be changed at the same time. The system’s pre-filter has a 6-year lifespan.
No, the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis filters aren’t hard to change—it should take you only a few minutes to change the in-unit RO and carbon filters. Just twist to remove the old filter, insert new filter, and lock it into place.
The system also automatically tracks filter life and will alert you with a beep when it’s time to change filters.
Is the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System hard to maintain?
Not at all. While other systems are equipped with different filters with different lifespans, the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System makes it simple with consistent filter life. Three of the system’s filters (carbon and RO filters and the optional remineralizer cartridge) have a two-year lifespan so you can replace them all at once. Typically, it takes less than a minute to change each filter.
Is the remineralizer cartridge add-on necessary?
Whether it’s needed is up to you! While the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System removes numerous contaminants from your drinking water, it also removes the naturally occurring minerals that give water its refreshing, crisp taste. The remineralizer cartridge adds those good-for-you alkaline minerals, like the electrolytes calcium and magnesium, back into your filtered drinking water for a more satisfying drinking experience.
What is the NSF?
The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) is an independent organization that has developed certifications to protect water, food, consumer products, and more.
When a product is certified against NSF standards, that means the system meets the standard for that particular certification. The Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis System is certified against ASSE 1086 as well as NSF 58, 42, 53, 401, and 372. That means unlike many other tankless RO systems on the market, the Clarifi™ Reverse Osmosis is proven to remove 90+ contaminants from drinking water, including arsenic, microplastics, TDS, pharmaceuticals and more.
