Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY THIS Why does Costco sell faulty products? I've had this for 2 1/2 months. Hot water barely trickles. Manual that comes with the product as well as online from Delta is not for this faucet. It seems many people have the same problem but Costco keeps selling it. So $190 to install, no hot water, buy another faucet, $190 to uninstall and install, return to Costco. Don't expect help from Delta. Don't trust positive reviews, they are usually posted after instillation, not months later when the item fails. Out on a limb here trying to get help which Delta does not provide and looking at major expense to get problem solved.

The reach of the faucet, is not specified and one does not even know what kind of measurement is being taken (i.e. from where to where, or in what denominations, such as inches or centermeters) Poor back up both in box and on website that prevents accurate measurements to be taken.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good faucet - So-so installation instructions This faucet looks good and works well although this is just day two after my installation. I found the installation instructions to be sadly lacking. The faucet is primarily for a single hole sink but the instructions skimp by on that issue while providing great detail on how to install the provided escutcheon plate to accommodate a 3-hole sink. The parts supplied with the faucet are poorly shown and described. The only gasket needed and provided is a firm, plastic foam disc with a paper backing to protect a sticky side. There is no instruction on how to place the gasket, i.e., sticky side up under the faucet body or down on the sink surface. I finally decided to apply it so that the sticky side adhered to the bottom of the faucet body. Included in the parts bag is a yellow plastic, cogged "wrench" with wings for finger tightening something. Tightening what I don't know because I found no mention nor diagram of this tool anywhere in the instructions. I had trouble connecting the water supply lines to the shut-off valves because the plastic lines are stiff making alignment with the male threads of the shutoffs difficult, and also because the compression nut couldn't reach enough of the plastic threads on the PEX shutoff. I had to cut the end off and use the (thoughtfully) provided ferrule to connect without stripping the plastic male shutoff threads. Finally, the instructions recommend slowly opening and closing the shutoff valves to flush the faucet of possible debris. If you have modern, PEX shutoffs they snap on and off by pushing or pulling a plunger. There is no "slowly open/close" this type of shutoff. Some kind of acknowledgement of this technology would be useful in the instructions.

The wrench included with the faucet can be used to remove the aerator, which can then be cleaned/soaked with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. It takes 2-3 minutes to get hot water from our 2 Delta Varus faucets. Water from nearby bathrooms is always hot before the kitchen & kitchenette faucets, even though they are the same or further distance from the water heater. Any idea why this happens?

I am so glad that you contacted us, so we can get this taken care of for you! We recommend the water heater be set at 120 or lower, this will allow the GPM to kick on the hot water heater and keep it hot. Low flow on our Delta Faucet VAROS™ Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Soap Dispenser And ShieldSpray Technology MODEL#: 19792Z-SPSD-DST is normally caused by debris, we would recommend flushing the unit especially after install. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. I installed a Varos 19792Z-SPSD-DST kitchen faucet and have very low water flow from the head. I bleed the lines and cleaned the aerator with little improvement. I have good water pressure and flow up to the spray head. What other advice do you have?
