I love the look and smooth movement in this faucet, but I don't like that I have had to replace the seats/springs and stem in both handles a couple of times. Products just don't last as they did for our parents. Mom has the same faucet she had 40 years ago and it never leaks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware plastic in handle Loved this workhorse of a faucet. Still do. Alas there's a tiny PLASTIC adapter inside handle that can crack /disintegrate and render whole handle useless. It's not on parts diagram here but it is at vital point where handle connects to cartridge to turn water on/off. Careful! Don't twist the handle trying to stop the drip from the too often leaking cartridges or you'll end up w useless faucet as I have. I've looked everywhere for this tiny part to replace or figure a widget --with no luck. Pity so much plastic in such a hard-used hardware for kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mixing chamber is plastic Mixing chamber is plastic and will crack if temp gets below freezing. With valves turned off and main water supple turned off. Because water remains in the mixing chamber after you turn off valves. Delta doesn't replace any parts because of freezes.

Is there a male to female adapter for this faucet, to allow the addition of an aftermarket spray aerator to the faucet end? The faucet end is male with a 3/4" diameter, which is not a normal width for most hardware stores.

Thank you for your question, John! The thread size for the RP74130SS aerator is 55/64-27. How can I attach a faucet mounted PUR water filter system to my Delta faucet?

what do I need to attach a water filter to my Delta #21987 kitchen faucet...and is it a part that is readily available or does it need to be special ordered? Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your question. We do not make an adapter for the faucet to attach a water filter. We recommned contacting the PUR filter company to see what they recommend.

Repair delta faucet

Explain how to replace o-rings at base of spout for 21987LF kitchen faucet.

Hi Herky1, Thank you for your question. To install replacement o-rings the bonnet at the base of the spout needs to be unthreaded. Once this is done, the faucet will pull straight up and you will be able to remove the old o-rings and place the new ones on. Best Regards, Courtney

I have a 10 month old Delta Model 21987LF kitchen faucet that just started leaking at the base of the spout and out through the bonnet.There is also water on the floor of the kitchen cabinet underneath. Very dissatisfied with Delta quality. Please help
