One out of three operates properly.
The plumber installed three each and they worked as promised for less than two years. One of the three continues to be free of problems. One will not come on even thou the batteries are new and the light comes on. The third works manually, but if left on and touched to off, it will cut itself back on an hour or more later. It also cuts off while in use. We paid substantially more for the touch feature, but we are considering bypassing the feature. Really disappointed in Delta!

Not worth the money
Just to clarify I had this faucet installed by a professional plumber. Normally this is a project I would undertake myself but since we were in the middle of a remodel and the plumber was on-site anyway I let him do the install. I can't attest to the difficulty of the installation but it looked like a straight forward task with minimal difficulty. The faucet is attractive and what we wanted, however, that is where the accolades end. We opted for the Touch 2O Technology, sure wish I'd done a little more research on this product feature before I purchased. First of all faucet will operate off batteries or an AC adapter (not supplied). Since I'm getting older and don't cherish crawling under the sink to change out batteries I purchased an AC adapter on Amazon. Spent almost $600 for a faucet and can't get a $12 AC adapter supplied with the product. The second and biggest problem with the faucet is the touch feature. The faucet turns on okay with the touch feature but when you touch it to shut off it shuts off for about 3 seconds then turns itself back on. After doing a little more research online it appears this is a common problem with these faucets and the fix is to ensure the solenoid wires are not touching each other or touching any metal parts. Really Delta this is the best you can do, you can't shield or isolate the wires to ensure this doesn't cause a problem. Now anytime you move anything under the sink you take a chance on the touch feature not working next time. Good idea, poorly implemented. Do not spend the extra money for the Touch 20 Technology.

Leaking Seals, Seized Arm, no LED
We installed two of these faucets in a brand new kitchen less than a month ago and already (before even submitting the warranty form) the temperature/flow control arm of one (after minimal use) is difficult to adjust and leaks, and the second one (slightly more use) has no operating LED light and water still trickles out when the unit is "touched" off. I'm not giving up on these faucets just yet because the concept is tremendous, but what was once my favorite feature of our kitchen is now a discouraging source of double-frustration.

We are also tired of the touch technology not working. Our faucet doesn't alway turn on when touched and now we have a small trickle of water coming out of the faucet, most likely caused by the solenoid value or the strainer at the solenoid value. It isn't worth the hassle. We are replacing ours.

A kitchen must have!
This is a kitchen must have! This faucet was used in a client's home as they did a complete custom remodel of their historic home. It's stunning in the home, especially in champagne bronze. The clients love that they don't have to use messy hands to turn the faucet on. It keeps the environment much more sanitary. They use the home often for entertaining and it's a great feature for large dinner parties.

It should be the new standard
This faucet is absolutely amazing! Because this faucet has the pull down sprayer, it doubles as a standard faucet and sprayer, which is essential for any items too big to full fit in the sink. I used to dread cleaning pots/pans before I got this faucet, but not anymore!

Touch faucet unreliable
We moved into a new house that came with a 9197T-DST faucet in the kitchen. At first we thought great. We had seen these types of faucets advertised and they looked like they would be very useful. We found that the touch option is more of a hindrance than a help. It is any bodies guess if the water flows when you turn the faucet on or if you have to touch the faucet to get it started. My guess is almost always wrong. Then the faucet seems to turn itself off sometimes without being touched and before the 4 minute timeout. After living here 4 months now the faucet only responds to being touched on the handle not the spout assembly. I did change the batteries when we first moved in because the faucet was not working at all. I am about to remove the touch electronics which seems a shame since this is a very expensive faucet.

Touch Technology is only reliable for causing frustration.
Our faucet was professionally installed over a year ago. Today, my wife asked me to find another faucet. We are tired of the Touch technology not working. Airport sinks and soap dispensers are more reliable than this faucet. Battery charge makes no difference. The only fail proof way we have found to turn the water flow on and off is to touch the battery holder. Don't need to squeeze it, just touch it in any way. This seems to make the faucet happy for one or two uses, then it refuses to function again. If there is a way to eliminate the touch on feature on this faucet, I need that information. Otherwise, my wife will be getting an entirely new faucet.

Only works some of the time
We purchased this faucet when remodeling our kitchen. Love the look and in the beginning loved how it worked. It worked great for a few months and then it started to turn on by itself, not turn on when we touched it on the top and now it will only turn on when we touch the base part near the countertop. We replaced the batteries twice already. Paid a lot of money for this faucet and I would expect it to work better.

Recommend this faucet
Nice faucet. The touch on the neck is not very reliable. The solenoid is a problem and spot working after less than two years. Delta knows this is a weakness and said they are working on improving it. I just hope they send me one before my warranty is up.

Almost perfect faucet
We love this faucet, with only one exception, which may just be something to get used to. If the water is on, and you want to adjust the volume of water coming out and you adjust it with the handle, of course the water turns off. I believe it would be better to not have the handle have the touch technology because of this situation. Otherwise, we love the look and performance.

The touch feature is why we purchased this; but has been nothing but problems.
Nice looking faucet. Spray nozzle works well. Touch technology is not good at all. The faucet now runs for 10 seconds then shuts off. Extremely frustrating. Considering the cost of the product I would not expect it to preform so poorly. Very disappointed. Should not have to change batteries so frequently. Even most recent battery replacement did not correct issue. Cannot even use the kitchen sink now as water comes on for 10 seconds then goes off. Takes 10 seconds before can turn on water again. Beyond frustrating. This technology is not yet perfected in this faucet.

Loved this faucet and the touch feature, after 3 years, solenoid not opening diaphragm completely
After 3 years the diaphragm wasn't opening completely. After replacing batteries, checking wires, and trying manually without solenoid, still no improvement. Does whole faucet need to be replaced?

Great faucet
2nd faucet bought. Bought this faucet about a year ago. Now the temp light either shows nothing when on cold or its blinking red when on cold. Have already had to replace batteries. Faucet will stop working when batteries go out.
Outside of the current problem faucet is great.

Purchased the Cassidy 9197T-DST and had installed last December, 2015...... Now touch feature not working....
Since December 2016, the touch feature has slowly become less and less functional and is now not working at all. I am unable to use the
faucet at all ... no water flows. This was a very expensive faucet for it to work only 1 year! What can be done? I seriously had the thought at
the time I purchased this faucet that this touch function was probably too good to be true .... just something else automated that will probably
be a headache to maintain. But I took a chance on Delta because I have always trusted and purchased Delta products.

Good but not perfect
We have had this faucet for 3 1/2 years. We used the touch feature for about 6 months then decided to disconnect it because we didn't like that it would turn on when you accidentally touch it while working at the sink doing something else. Turning in on and off with the handle works fine. The retractable spray nozzle developed a fair amount of rust fairly early on but didn't interfere with performance. Sometimes the nozzle doesn't push completely back in but cleaning off the rust helps. Lately we get a vibratory noise when running just a low flow. That is annoying since you may just need a trickle but you have to turn the flow up more for the noise to stop. It happens with both hot and cold. I am checking now to see what if there's a fix. Overall I'm happy and hope to keep this for many more years. Delta has always been our top choice for faucets. Tried a few other brands and regretted it so went back to Delta.

Very happy with this product for over a year now.
I've had the Cassidy faucet with Touch2o technology installed for over a year now. Initially, it was finicky to set up and the touch feature didn't work right away. Whatever issue it had, it seemed to correct itself, because it started working and never gave us any trouble since. I absolutely love the touch feature, and get annoyed when I use faucets without it! The finish has held up perfectly, and I especially like the magnetic feature in the pull-down part of the faucet. It always returns to the right place and never dangles partway out like you often see on other faucets. Very happy with this faucet and plan to take it with me if I ever move.

Love Touch Faucet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought two faucets for our new kitchen last year before the holidays. We wish we would have bought both touch faucets. The only thing we don't like is the sprayer function. It sprays too wide and gets everything wet, including us.

Love the touchless feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have purchased two of these, one in chrome and one in oil rubbed bronze. Definitely prefer the oil rubbed bronze but that is real just more our style.
Once you have the touch less feature you will not know how you lived with out it. When o first installed in and touched the faucet nothing came out. For some reason I just didn't realize you had to have the faucet on in order for the touchless to work! Duh!
We've had the faucet for over two years and have only had to change the batteries once.
The entire Cassidy collect has a great look to it and fits our 'modern farmhouse' kitchen well. We also have the bar faucet and it looks great with the kitchen sink faucet.

Great Faucet
I like the sleek design and function of this faucet. It works well and looks great too. I also bought the matching soap dispenser. The handle placement is higher than others, which worked great because our soap dispenser was placed too close to the faucet. This specific feature saved us a lot of heartache!

Poor design
I had this faucet installed approximately two years ago when my kitchen was completely redone. This week I noticed a bad smell coming from under neath the sink. Upon further inspection I noticed that the faucet is slowly leaking but trying to determine where is not easy. It appears the fittings connecting the hosing in various points have developed a leak. I checked th manual and the hosing looks to be installed correctly. In addition the slow water leak is running down the hoses into the electronic box that controls the attached on/ off solenoid valve which controls the water flow. It looks like water has entered the electronic box. The electronics should be separated from the solenoid valves to keep them away from any potential water exposure due to leaks. In addition the on/off handle is leaking and needs a seal replacement. At first we loved the faucet now it has become a nightmare. Drying out the area under the sink to get rid of the smell will take time. Also I will probably just replace the faucet with a more dependable brand. The Delta engineers need to do a better job and think about all the failure modes when making future designs.

Nice Concept -- Poor Execution
Our Touch H2O Cassidy faucet was installed in early 2016 and has been in use since February, 2016. It operates very erratically -- in the middle of doing dishes, for no particular reason, the flow stops, and you have to tap it to get it going again. Then sometimes it doesn't turn on from start -- you have to push the lever back in, move it up or down, and then try again. These issues are annoying enough to make me regret having gotten this very expensive high tech faucet, and wish I had just gotten the plain Cassidy kitchen faucet.

Nice looking faucet but the touch technology still has work to do
I have the Cassidy Single handle touch kitchen faucet for about a year now. We are on our third repair for the touch mechanism under the sink. We have had to have Delta send the same part three times due to failure. We love the touch faucet, but it comes with some headaches. First you have to make sure none of the wires that go to the touch mechanism touch anything under your sink. This includes each other. So, you would think that Delta would make it so they were not side by side, but they are. Second, they can not touch any metal under the sink. They can not come in contact with any of your plumbing. This is a problem if you have ever seen the average size of the cabinet under ones sink. If any of these wires touch each other or metal it will stop the faucet from flowing after four minutes. What happens then is that the sink will not turn on at all no matter what you do. It completely knocks out the faucets ability to flow. In order to get around this you have to disconnect the unit and bypass the touch mechanism. This involves getting under the sink and pulling out the touch line and making it direct so the faucet then operates like a normal manual faucet. In addition, our touch faucet is right next to our dishwasher. When our dishwasher runs it triggers the faucet to come on randomly. The faucet will turn off after 4 minutes, but we have been in bed when we hear it running. So, I recommend making sure the faucet is in the off position if you are going to run your dishwasher. Every time ours does this the touch mechanism shuts down all together. The pro's are I love the design and the way it works, when it works. The Con's are that it is very sensitive and they haven't really worked out the problems. In hind site I don't think I would order this faucet again.

The 9197T-DST worked well for about 6 weeks. The touch feature then ceased working. The installation was correct and done by a professional.
Multiple attempts at repair have failed. My contractor said he doubted repair likely. He said this product is no longer seen in stores as it once was. he recommended just using it as a very expensive regular faucet. We did note during repair attempts that the blue light at the base of the faucet would flicker when the wire under the sink was wiggled, suggesting an internal break of some sort.
Do you agree with my contractor that it is best to just use it as a faucet. your input is welcome.

addictive faucet
I am obviously pleased with this faucet. Purchased two touch faucets (gadgets for me on new kitchen with two separated sinks-and yes they get used) and one manual for our laundry room. this is why I can tell you how the electronic works so well. you only need to "touch" it, not bang it. no waving hands frantically trying to get an IR sensor to activate. Just replaced the batteries after 2 years with no issue, but you have to make sure it doesn't "touch" a grounded part or the touch sensor cannot function properly (probably a plastic cover for the battery pack would have been better) but still 5 stars. Now everyone tries to "touch" all the other faucets as it is so easy to get used to using. I think we use less water since you can turn it off and on so easily. and messy hands? touch your arm, head, etc., easy cleanup. and I purchased Delta for reputation. ended up replacing a small magnet washer in the neck, called them up, gave description, and presto they mailed it. easy to change. The finish is holding up very well on all three and doesn't show spots. I can't say enough good things about this faucet. would I buy it again.... Absolutely! And did I mention water flow? fantastic, plus it has an overflow timer to automatically shut off in case you left the water on - no overflowing sink .
and this would be great for a remodel!
