Single-function valve cartridge controls the temperature at full output flow. Monitors water pressure to balance temperature. All Delta® tub and shower faucets are engineered to keep the water temperature within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C)*. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit I had 2 bathroom tub/shower that needed replacement. I installed these both in 90 mins with my son. Thank you Delta for supporting the older 1300/1400 Series (pre 4/2006 and earlier). These were in operation for 16 years and just started dripping. You saved me thousands of dollars, just by replacing the valve. THANK YOU DELTA!

Their performance is extraordinary and when we had a small leak, the replacement parts or faucet arrived in a couple of day and totally free of charge. Great products that look and work as well today as they did brand new.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Contacting Delta for warranty repair parts I contacted Delta in February and got an email response that indicated they would send parts once they got photographs of the leaking shower mixer. I immediately sent the photographs and heard nothing back. Three months later they still have not replied or sent any parts. After an hour wait on hold, I was finally connected with a Delta rep who informed me that they will not send a replacement cartridge as promised earlier. They will send seats and springs. Poor response, poor follow up and no apology. We'll see if they actually send parts this time. I'll write another review when I hear back and have opportunity to try to fix the leak with their springs and seats.

What can I upgrade to?

I have a RP19804 cartridge in my shower now. Can I convert the trim kit to a 17 series without changing the rough in valve?

Hello B!, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, if you have the RP19804 currently, you can only use T13 or T14 trims without needing to change out the rough in valve. You would keep using the RP19804 with this new T13 or T14 trim.

I only wish to replace the rubber O rings on the 1300/1400 series cartridge. Do you sell an O rings kit?

Hi, Mike! Thank you for your question. While we do recommend to replace the whole cartridge if you have issues with the o-rings, the o-rings are available as separate parts. The Delta RP14414 O-rings for the legs measure - Nominal Size 9/16" X 11/16" X 1/16" Uniform Size # 015. The Delta RP23357 body o-ring measures - Nominal Size 1-9/16: X 1-3/4" X 3/32". I have a shower that has the old RP19804 Delta Cartridge, but it is "trimmed" with a Danco Trim Kit.

I would like to know which Delta Shower Trim Kit is compatible with the RP19804 Cartridge (is it any Series 14 Monitor?) - and I want the metal handle not the acrylic knob. Thank you.

Hi cajunjake, Thank you for your question! Any T13 or T14 series trim kit will work with your valve. Please be sure to use the existing cartridge (or a new RP19804) rather than the cartridge that comes with the kit. Thanks, Jon

On the website the correct image is shown with the short tower and blue legs. When I click on it, it now changes to this different design with a taller tower. It has no open space. Is this an updated design? Will this work as a replacement?

Does this part have a life time warranty?

What is the difference between the blue and grey bottoms delta 1400 tub n shower? And are they interchangeable?

Hi, Joseph. Thank you for your question. The blue and white Delta RP19804 Valve Cartridge Assembly will only fit our Delta 1400 Series Valves that were installed before 2006. The gray RP46074 Valve Cartridge Assembly fits our Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000 Rough in Valve Bodies installed after 2006. These cartridge are not interchangeable. Best Regards, Rosanna

Will this fit my 1987 delta valve with clear plastic handle that lifts up to allow water flow and twist to right or left for temp control. Will it allow me to change to a H79 handle?

Hi, DIYer! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP19804 valve cartridge assembly will not work with our Delta 600 series shower units that push up to turn water on. We do however have the Delta RP54870 renovation kit that can update your trim to a lever handle.
