Rated 4 out of 5 by from An inexpensive way to convert 3 handles to 1 handle We were happy to learn that this cover plate could convert our three handle shower/tub unit into a one handle unit. This allowed us to upgrade to this newer format without having to tear out all the tiling in the shower/tub area. Our new shower unit is brushed nickle, which is a slighty different from this cover plate so it is not a perfect match, but it is fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is what it is Delta does indeed need to fix the description up above, claiming this is brass. Still, the complaints are surprising. Outside the very expensive high end shower products, everyone's trim plates are plastic, specifically because consumers are unwilling to pay for brass at that spot. The Delta trim set you're installing with this, has a lot of plastic (because you - yes you - won't pay what it costs otherwise). Considering this item exists entirely to provide an economical way to change from old technology to new (safer, code compliant) technology, of course it is made of the more economical material. Plastic is only problematic if someone over-tightens during installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made and not brass as advertised This product is grossly overpriced. It is a piece of black plastic painted with oil oil rubbed bronze paint. I can’t imagine that it would hold up for any length of time.

Do I have any renovation plate options for a T14251? Dryden Monitor 14 Series?

On one side, there is a gap in the foam. Is this supposed to be the top or bottom?

Does this work with the Arvo 14 series shower valve: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/142840-CZ-I.html#documents-and-specs ? The Arvo valve specs say its 6-1/2" in diameter. If that doesn't work, does the valve need to be 8" min diameter?

Which of your products for bath and shower are compatible with a renovation plate

The center hole is 5 1/8" in diameter and the screws are 9" apart. We have several escutcheons that are compatible with this renovation cover plate but not a comprehensive list of them. Do you have screw cover caps that would fit this model in champange bronze? I did not need the bolts for my installation and dont particularly want to drill into the tile behind for something that isnt needed on my shower.
