Beautiful chrome.
You have to be careful but I installed this in 20 minutes. I mostly just used my hands without crawing under the sink. You have to pull the water lines back from the center nut in order to use the wrench I used my hand to thread it on almost to hand tight then used the wrench this was the Delta Leland kitchen fauchet 9178-DST

Escutcheon gasket was leaky
Bought this faucet about 3 years ago. Like another review said, the escutcheon plate is kind of flimsy, so the faucet does flex a teeny bit. Not rock solid. But the foam gasket on the bottom started leaking on the right side of the faucet. Delta no questions asked sent me a replacement escutcheon plate with all the parts. I had forgotten how this was put on, and realized I should have asked for a replacement foam gasket for the neck that sits in the middle. I ended up just putting a ring of plumber's putty around it and having my wife hang on to it while I snugged things up, then wiped off excess. No leaks anymore. I fear though after another couple of years I may end up with the same problem. I think what is happening is tugging on the faucet to get the sprayer to wash dishes is ever so slowly causing friction between escutcheon plate gasket and sink, eventually wearing down the gasket (I could be wrong here). Didn't want to use silicon, because that's going to be a disaster when you need to remove temporarily to do maint, etc.

Escutcheon tab breaks in 2 years
I do like the delta faucet, but it had grown wobbly and the metal plate got scratched. Took it apart and a small, cheap PLASTIC tab on the escutcheon was broken. SHOCKER.
Come on delta. You make a nice faucet and hold it in place with cheap plastic tabs.

Brittle Tabs easily Break
Right around the time the warranty expires, (or sooner), the plastic tab on this is quite likely to break, causing the whole faucet to twist around and loosen. It's a poor design choice. And it's $78+ to replace, with extra unneeded hardware.

Flimsy metal
So I purchased the sink faucet because of its sleek design but was not pleased to have to also purchase the escutcheon, which Delta included with a previous kitchen sink faucet. After installation I've found the faucet wobbles and the escutcheon flexes. I would recommend buying a faucet that includes the escutcheon to avoid this issue. Delta sells itself short with this kind of quality.

Will this escutcheon work with the Lahara 15938T-SS-DST to cover up the holes on a wide spread 8” bathroom counter top? Or is there a different one that will work with it?

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP47274 escutcheon plate will not fit the Delta 15938T-SS-DST faucet. We recommend the RP51346SS escutcheon plate for this faucet.

Is there a Delta escutcheon for 4" center"?
I wanted to use the savile faucet in a sink with 3-holes and with the outer holes on a 4" center.
Faucet is 19949-DST purchased at Lowes.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model 19949-DST does not have a smaller escutcheon available. There is an escutcheon to use for a single-hole mounted installation. Then one of the other holes can be used for the soap dispenser. For the other hole, you should be able to find a disk that either matches your sink or matches the faucet.

Can I get an escutcheon for faucet #19949-sssd-dst?
I am putting granite countertops in and do not want to use the baseplate. The countertop guy told me I needed an escutcheon that would fit directly under the main vertical component of the faucet to go with the undermounted sink. What do I need to get?
Hi Rose, Thank you for your question. The model 19949-SSSD-DST ships with both a single hole and 3 hole escutcheon. The single hole escutcheon is available to order as RP63197SS.

I would like the dimensions for the base plate to make sure it will cover existing holes since I am changing from a two handle to a one handle faucet.

What is the difference between rp64472 and rp47274?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP47274 has shanks attached to the escutcheon plate and Delta Faucet model # RP64472 does not include the shanks. It sits only on top of the sink and is recommended for the 989-DST.

Is there a escutcheon model available with a side versus center mount?
Need an open hole on the side vs. center in order to make this fit properly on my existing sink.
Hi Kyledeast, Thank you for your question. We do not offer an escutcheon that allows the faucet to be mounted to one of the sides of the escutcheon. They are all set up for the faucet to be in the center of the escutcheon.
