If this ring was not installed would there be excessive up and down rocking of the faucet tip causing some leakage at the two big o'rings?

Thank you for your question. If Delta Faucet model # RP6044 is not installed, it will cause the exact issue that you are having with leakage and rocking.

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE RP5422 SLIP RING ? IF NOT WHAT IS THE REPLACEMENT NUMBER THAT WILL WORK ? AND DOES IT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH LEAKS ? OR JUST PREVENTS METAL TO METAL FRICTION

Thank you for your question. The Delta Slip Ring RP5422 is still available for ordering. It is designed to prevent the metal spout to metal escutcheon plate from friction contact. This part can not prevent or cause a leak on a faucet.

what do you attach RP6044 slip ring to ?

Does the RP6044 slip washer work with the foundations model 10900LF one arm sink faucet? I replaced the 2 rubber O-rings and it still leaks after I turn on the faucet. I didn't replace my cracked slip ring because it didn't come with the repair kit.

For the Delta Faucet model 10900LF, a replacement slip ring is included in the RP44124 repair kit.
