I had to get it replaced under warranty due to breaking upon installation. They would only replace it 1 time under warranty. I bought another one just in case, as others stated, it breaks in a few months. Also doesn't sit right on the valve.
Made of plastic/breaks easily.

Poorly designed - plastic. Perhaps a solution
I read some of the reviews on here (it has a 1.1 rating which perhaps would be lower if you did not have to at least put a 1 star rating). I read about the plastic having advantages of corrosion. heat transfer, etc. My suggestion to Delta would be to add a screw-type feature that would allow people to tighten/loosen as needed, yet would allow the unit to have easy on/off rather than pressure on/off (which makes it susceptible to the tab-breaking everyone seems to complain about). This screw could be stainless steel (rust issue solved), small enough (no great amount of heat transfer), ease of installation/removal for people.

cheap plastic, misleading descriptions
i asked several time what the knob is made of and they told me metal and plastic, then i got it and it broke. garbage!

Easily breaks
Lasted two years and broke after that . We replaced and the snaps broke again. I don’t want to replace the entire thing but I may have to :(

Broken plastic tab
As others have noted, this part is a weak plastic formulation. The tab broke when attempting to "snap" it on. Mosco Canada stated "This is not a warranty issue" and suggested that I go and buy a replacement at a hardware store. It clearly SHOULD BE under warranty. I am not impressed.

Just installed and knob tab broke
Well... a $450 valve kit made of plastic parts that don't hold up. The quality is very poor and I can't believe it is plastic instead of metal. I am leaving Delta and moving to Moen.

Disappointed
We are at the tail end of a major bathroom renovation and have been very excited about our new Delta shower with wall jets. As we are getting ready for the final stages to have this shower up and running the temperature control knob broke easily during installation. I had to go online and order another with expedited shipping so that our subcontractors could finish. I was surprised to see that this was a common customer experience and hope Delta is taking steps to insure that this part is sturdier in the future given the expense of the overall shower system.

I just bought what looks to be part number 68305. However, my old delta has a # 68308 which has a different backing than the 68305. The 68305 just sent to me doesn't jive with the shower head connection, thoughts?
