Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor magnet quality Can’t believe the magnet during less than a year. We really like the faucet but won’t accept to pay $60 per year in maintenance, which is the cost of changing the magnet every year (20% of the cost of the faucet). If delta knows this problem, it’s easy, just include spares (example 3 magnets + the tool). It will be a job to change the part every year but at least you won’t have to pay the spare. I bought the Essa Touch 2.0 model 9113T-DST on October 2022 and started to have problems in a year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rust. Disgusting. Major disappointment... Well, this isn't good... We noticed our faucet wasn't seating correctly any longer, and when we went to inspection why, we found rust everywhere and the magnetic peice had started falling apart. We first thought it was warped from the hot water, but it was just the nastiness. Wow, all the mo eyes we spent on this and we upgraded to the splash guard too. Such a disappointment. We will never buy this brand again. It is laziness.

Like the others I have to purchase replacement magnets because ours rusted out. We are lucky no one choked on a piece when it fell out in our coffee pot! We should have stuck to Moen!

I really love my faucet otherwise. Do you have a replacement for this faucet that won’t rust?

For the kind of money we paid for this touch faucet I would not expect a part that is in constant touch with water to rust this fast but they did. The magnets have completely rusted off and not I have to pay $50.00 to get new ones. That is insane when you consider it's only two small pieces. Not gonna pay that kind of money so we are going to replace the faucet with one from another well known name for have the price of what we paid for this disaster.

how do you take the sprayer/ spout off of the flexible hose. first step of replacing the magnet on the spout thanks

I cannot get my magnet to stay inside faucet.  It will not go above the rim where it is suppose to go.  Any tricks other than the tool that come with it.  That does not work for me?

To install the Delta Faucet Magnet Replacement Kit MODEL# RP80977 place the new magnet on the installation end of the tool. Please ensure that the vertical magnet tab is located between the two aligning features as shown in section 3 of the maintenance and installation guide. The magnet tab should be oriented toward the back of the spout. Now install the new magnet by pressing the tool up into the spout and rotating away from the faucet body. When the magnet is completely installed it should be almost flush with the end of the spout. Please refer to the maintenance and installation guide for more details.
