RESEÑAS
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The upgrade was not an upgrade! I am so disappointed. I bought kitchen fixtures and these bath fixtures in champagne bronze. I couldn't be more unhappy. The champagne bronze color spots terribly and doesn't ever look clean. Besides that the faucet flow is weak, but manages to spray little drops of water all over my stomach while I'm standing there using it. Seriously, would not recommend at all!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Champagne Bronze shows every spot of water I have serious buyer's remorse and wish I'd done more research first. After completing my first ever remodeling project and spending serious money on these faucets at a plumbing supply company, I am VERY disappointed that they need CONSTANT upkeep or they appear dirty and smudgy. If you don't meticulously dry them with a towel after each use, every tiny drop of water dries to a spot on the faucets. I trust that they are well-made, durable pieces, but I almost don't want them to last because of all the maintenance they require. I attached a photo AFTER wiping, and I don't have hard water..

Is it possible to change the angle of the temperature valve - we have a backsplash that will be very close and when turning the valve to “hot” it will bump in to the back splash.

Asked by: Andy4567
Hello Andy4567, Thank you for your question. The Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF faucet must be installed with the handle on the right. The handle pulls out, away from the body to turn on and give cold water. Pull the handle towards you to get hot water. Best regards, Tanya

Has anything been done to fix the splash issue with this faucet? I have reduced the flow at the shut-off to almost nothing and it still splashes. Would a new stream regulator help (RP76571)? or is it the way it is?

Asked by: Bobs
Thank you for your question, Bobs! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing splashing from your Delta 553LF faucet. We do not recommend removing the stream straightener as this part is not designed to be easily removed. Instead, you can soak a rag in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water and apply around the spout for an hour or even overnight to help break up any debris that maybe causing the splashing issue. We would also recommend either using a low gallons per minute flow regulator such as part number RP73838 or simply turning the supply lines down halfway or until the splashing stops. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-553LF_A.pdf Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a way to eliminate excessive spash from the basin with the Vero faucet?

We recently bought a spec house which has 4 Vero faucets. Despite the beauty and innovation, we are concerned about the large amount of splash that this faucet puts out. The builder said that it was because there was no aerator. Is there any way to minimize the splash? We have tried turning down the supply tubes, but that doesn't seem to help.
Asked by: Tom L.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 553LF may have a splash effect depending on the size and shape of your sink. The easiest way to combat this is to turn down the force of water coming out of your faucet.

Hi, I see that the lever is pulled down to turn the water on, I am assuming cold water, but how do you turn it to get hot water? Are you able to remove the flow restrictor and is the bowl stopper the push in the sink like the 3553LF? Thank you, Sydney

Asked by: SYDNEY
Hi, Sydney! Thank you for your question. The Delta 553LF faucet handle pulls out, away from the body to turn on and give cold water. Pull the handle towards you to get hot water. The flow restrictor in the faucet is non-removable. The stopper for the drain assembly is a push pop up. Best Regards, Rosanna

can this faucet be used for a square 5.5" high vessel sink?

Asked by: Grit
Grit, Thank you for your question. The faucet could be installed with a 5.5" vessel sink. However, the spout will drop below the rim of the bowl at 5 1/4" above the deck surface. The vessel version of this faucet is model 753LF. The end of the spout on this model is 9 9/32" above the deck. Pop-up flange options

I recently installed the 553LF faucet. Before I install the spring loaded pop-up stopper I was wondering if there is stopper with a wider flange available? The former owners installed a Porcher sink and faucet which appears to have a 2 1/2 inch diameter flange on its stopper where the pop-up stopper flange is 2 1/8 inch diameter. I am concerned the pop-up stopper flange will be too small for the Porcher sink opening.
Asked by: Rich
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet makes pop-up assemblies with a flange to meet industry standard measurements of 2.11 inches.

Use silicone when installing the drain?

The instructions with my Vero show in the diagram using silicone at the drain, but the instructions don't mention it. Is this necessary?

Dear AmandaM, Thank you for your question. We do recommend applying a bead of silicone to the underside of flange of the drain assembly, for installation. This help creates a tight seal to the sink hole. Best regard, Tanya

I have these faucets throughout my house. The stream-liner doesn’t seem removable. I followed the directions (used needle nose pliers to pull it out…even bought special ones). There is quite a bit of calcium build and it needs cleaning, help!

Asked by: Jenna
Hello Jenna, Thank you for your question! We apologize for the calcium build-up you are experiencing. We understand how frustrating this can be and will be happy to help you! To remove the stream straightener from the Delta Faucet Vero® Single Handle Bathroom Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 553LF shut off the water supplies. Pull out the stream straightener with a long nose plier. Pull out the stream straightener slowly to avoid damage. Clean the stream straightener then press it back in place into the spout. We moved into a house that has these but in the round design - the top looks the same but the bottom is round instead of square.  One of them has very low water flow.  Both faucets have green corrosion where the water exits.  What can we do?

Asked by: Paul
Hello Valued Customer, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible this issue can be resolved by cleaning the product. We recommend you try soaking the product in a 50/50 solution of water and white distilled vinegar. This could break up any possible calcium buildup inside. If the faucet exhibits very low flow: SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Remove the handle, trim cap, bonnet nut, and valve. Remove the adapter using long nose pliers. Remove the flow regulator using an O-ring pick or similar tool. Clean any debris from inside surface of flow regulator. When reinstalling parts, ensure bonnet nut is tightened securely with wrench. Failure to securely tighten bonnet nut with wrench could result in water damage. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist

I have the Vero faucet in champagne bronze. It really shows water marks and wiping it with a soft cloth does nothing. Can you tell me the best way to clean it regularly so they look nice? I know alcohol works but that seems too abrasive for everyday

Asked by: Annalee
Hi Annalee, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help you! Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean, soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. I have also included a link to our “How to clean your faucet” on our website, please see the link below. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/inspiredliving/how-to-clean-a-faucet Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Water flow from my vero faucet has been low flow since install. Wondered if plumber was lazy and didn't clear the lines before install. How do I remove the stream straightener and clean it? And what else could I check? My wife's sink flows very well

Asked by: diyer
Hi diyer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Vero® Single Handle Bathroom Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 553LF. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. We do recommend flushing the valve; It will allow the removal of debris in the lines. Here are the steps for flushing your faucet. Please shut water supplies off before starting this process. You will need Phillip's screwdriver and start by popping the cap off of the handle. Then you would remove your handle with the screwdriver. Please pull the handle off of the cartridge, you will then find the cap and bonnet nut. Both the cap and bonnet nut would be unthreaded from the faucet. The next part you should see is the cartridge, please grab and pull it out. Then, using needle-nose pillars, grab the brass insert and pull it out. Under the insert is the flow restrictor and this is where the blockage would be located, once cleaned follow the directions in reverse for reinstall. Lastly, place the towel behind the back of the handle, then put the bucket over the top of the towel covering the opening in the valve. Have someone turn the cold/hot water supply on for about 30 seconds to a minute. After this, shut the water off and follow the directions above in reverse for the reinstallation of the flow restrictor, cartridge, and handle. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole
