RESEÑAS
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaking handles after only 5 years in use. I have 2 sinks in our bathroom with these faucets. They look great but started leaking after a few years of use. Started first with the hot water faucet in one sink, then the other sink and then all the handles! Drain plug no longer works either .Customer service is horrible. Want to send me part to replace that I will have to pay a plumber to do, when these faucets are $945 and should last over 20 years! Do not buy these products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too expensive. Design doesnt hold up well Looks great new. Have never had a rectangle shaped faucet. This has not held up well. After 7 years of use the stream/flow is very small. All of the other delta faucets in my house are the traditional round and have had now issues. This is too expensive to not last.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor water straightener in faucet spout. Water splashes. Spout has a water straightener that creates splashing outside of sink basin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Splashes I thought this was the perfect faucet for our remodel. Sadly the water flow splashes all over the place. I can’t take it getting wet every time i use the sink or using the sink as a trickle if I want to avoid this. I’m hoping the issue is that the spout is not aerated. I’m going to replace with something aerated and see what happens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible with extremely low water pressure. Bought this and put in 3 sinks in our new house. Never had solid water flow as the restrictor is VERY RESTRICTIVE. Beware of purchasing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bathroom faucet Great looking faucet with updated finish!
Date published: 2024-06-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Design Beautiful design, contemporary yet fit well in a traditional home. Very solid design and open/close very smoothly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great. But Poor Performance. Less than one year after installing two sets in a dual-sink bathroom vanity, the hot water lines exhibited a loss of water pressure. Customer service sent an endless supply of replacement parts, none of which remediate the problem. I do not recommend this product or Delta/Brizo products in general.

I need to replace the seat and spring in the handle. However, once I removed the set screw, the handle won’t come off. Any suggestions on how to take it off? Do I use a flat screwdriver to forcibly take it off?

Asked by: Resa13
Hi Resa13, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! We apologize for the issues you are experiencing and we are happy to help! The handle may need to be soaked with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. This will remove any excess build-up keeping the handle in place. Please gather a washcloth, a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water, and a soft toothbrush. Drench the washcloth, wrap it around the handle and set screw area and allow it to soak for a few hours. Use the toothbrush to brush under the handle and around the set screw. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! There is a small leak at the handle stem. But I am unable to remove the handle even after removing the holding screw. Tried removing grime with vinegar/soap etc but no luck. Is there a video that shows how to remove the handle for this specific model?

Asked by: Jay Z
Hi Jay Z, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 3553LF. Unfortunately, we don't have a video of removing the handles. With the set screw loosened, the handle should pull up off of the stem extender. We recommend continuing to soak the area with 50/50 white vinegar and water. If there was a leak, there may be mineral deposits in the handle causing the issue. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! My 3553LF faucet is dripping. The handles are stuck. I have removed the set screws. Tapped gently with a rubber mallet and gently pried up on both handles. Nothing. Stuck tight. Any suggestions?

Asked by: David Stevens
Hi David Stevens, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The 3553LF handles are removed by unthreading the set screw, then turning the handle towards the spout till the top of the handle comes off. The base would then need to be removed by unsnapping it from the glide ring. I'm having issues removing one of the levers to swap out the guts inside. I even removed the entire set screw and it still won't budge. Any idea what's holding the lever securely in place? Do you have any solutions for this?

Asked by: whitten5
Hi, I previously asked this question and subsequently tried the instructions in the answer provided without success. The set screw was completely removed and I rotated the handle in every position possible within the 1/4 turn radius allowed and the handle simply won't budge. I've tried to pull it off with quite a bit of force too, but don't want to break it. Is there anything else that can be keeping this handle secure so it won't come off? Do you recommend spraying WD-40 or Liquid Wrench in the cracks? Any other thoughts on this? I've removed several of these handles without any issues before this one. Is there any other solution?

How do you remove the aerator?

Asked by: martender
Hi martender, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 3553LF. The stream straightener in the end of the spout is not designed to be easily removed. I first recommend cleaning the flow restrictor in the hose connection below the sink to troubleshoot an issue with the flow. Also, soak the end of the spout with a solution of 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinse, if there are mineral deposits or buildup. The stream straightener can be removed with needle-nosed pliers. Pull slowly to avoid damaging the part or the faucet. Please reach out with any additional questions!
