Quality Control Issue
The design is excellent and the attempt at adding the aerator improved the splashing issue. It does still splash, just not as much as the previous model.
The rating of "avoid" is based on the quality control of the final product. A margin of error is expected since the spout and the base are made of two parts, however an offset of a spout (1/4") when compared against the base (misaligned) is clearly visible. After speaking with Delta, I decided to purchase a replacement unit which also came in with the flaw. The expectations are slightly higher for a 300$ faucet.

Splashing on back wall.
We have a new installation using a wading pool sink and I have to close the water valves going to the faucet 80% to minimize splashing.

Very Nice
I recently replaced two inexpensive faucets in my master bath with these and they not only look spectacular the work better than any faucet I have ever owned. The one-hand swiveling on/off/heat/cold lever makes it very easy to operate, especially with arthritic hands.

Splashes and soaks the walls, mirror, and countertops!
I purchased 2 of these and was so excited to have them installed into my new construction house. We moved in the house recently and cannot even use the bathrooms that these are in because they splash so much that everything gets wet- the walls, the mirror, the countertops are all dripping wet. It is a big mess and we regret ever purchasing these faucets.

Too much splashing!
I bought a new house that has this type of faucet installed in all the bathroom sinks. This faucet has a very nice, modern look to it, but it has no aerator, so the water splashes everywhere! It is very frustrating always having to clean up the mess from the counter, the walls, and the mirror... not to mention the wet spot on the front of our clothes! As a result of this issue, we usually only turn our faucets on a fraction of the full amount which helps to some degree, but the water will splash out of the sink no matter what. There has to be some way to design an aerator to fit this faucet.

Splish Splash
Love the look of the faucet. However, the first time we turned it on we realized it splashes way too much and makes a mess of the counter, wall and floor. We have a deep sink so that's not the issue. A hole has already been made in our new counter so to say we're disappointed is a an understatement. Not sure what we're going to do to remedy the situation because we can't live with the splashing.

Sharp Design
Installed in bathroom update project.
Nice contemporary look.
Not too artsy.
Not sure I like the water flow in full on position, but as a bathroom fixture, less volume flow is more typical. Works just fine for me.
I have the lower height model, but still able to wash hair in sink.

Poor screen design/water splashes everywhere!
I absolutely love the look of this faucet and was super excited to install it. The directions were simple and easy to follow. I had it up and running in no time flat. HOWEVER, the moment I turned it on water splashed everywhere. Then I tried washing my hands, forget about it. Water flew out all around my vanity and wall. I tried turning down the pressure under the sink but that didn't help at all. I'm not a rocket scientist but to me it seems as though it's a flaw in the way the water flows through the screen. I love this faucet but don't know if I can live with a constant mess of water.

splashes way too much!
While the look of this design is attractive, the way the water splashes when it hits the sink or tub (both are not too shallow) is more than I have ever seen. Had I known this issue, I would have considered another design. OK, Delta engineers, how about creating a retroactive fitting screen that will easily solve this issue? It's not rocket science! something that can be fit up inside the spout that will prevent the water from becoming a needle shaped rocket that ends up splashing everywhere. Send out notices to existing owners of this product and send complimentary screens. These faucets were not inexpensive. I have two sink faucets, model number 553LF-RB and one Roman Tub faucet, model number T2753-RB. Your customer support person said he would pass on my suggestion but there was obviously nothing he could do for me at this time. I chose Delta over any other brand because my contractor recommended you. Please make me a believer! Thanks in advance! (I noticed I am not the first to complain about this feature in the review section. Surely a solution can be found!!!!).

Nice design.
The issue I have with this faucet is the water flow it provides. I purchased it with an American Standard sink, with a decent depth. Regardless, the flow from this faucet splashes all over the place.
But the design looks spectacular! I bought the entire matching Delta Vero set: robe hooks, towel bar, toilet paper dispenser, and they look modern and neat.
This faucet was not my first choice. I wanted a better design! but the others I liked better, came with a big price tag, so this was a good option.

Water splashes everywhere
What a horrible faucet. Water splashes everywhere and creates a pool on your counters, drips on your walls and mirror. Lowering the water flow does not remedy the problem. It just creates a smaller pool of water. As soon as your hands, toothbrush, soap, etc are under the faucet, the water ricochets everywhere. If this had been a cheap faucet, I would have thought well you get what you pay for. But at over $300 what the was Delta thinking?

Poor design
We installed the Vero widespread faucet for a client's bath remodel. The client was excited about the transitional design. However, the squared design of the faucet produces such a splash outside the sink bowl that the customer can't enjoy it. Our plumber agrees. Great looking, terrible working. I have seen similar reviews complaining about Vero's high splash rate on other websites.

Fits between the vessel sink and medicine cabinet
This product looks great, is very easy to install, the pipes were labeled and it has the option of a regular and taller unit via the base plate height. One handed operation works well and it's easy to keep the temperature the same with this handle design. I like Delta due to the life of their parts availability and their ease to repair if needed. Not a drip on this faucet. I needed a faucet to fit over a 5" high vessel and under an 8.5" swing out door on a medicine cabinet. This slid right in. The shipping was on time and tracking numbers came right away.

Not for situation where scale may be a problem
After installation and a short period of operation (hours, not days), faucet clogged with pipeline scale. Clearing the scale requires removing the valve cartridge. Would recommend use only in new installations that do not have older galvanized pipe as used in the 1980's

Great looking, but not worth mess
Bought 1st for 3 bathroom remodel. Installed it. Loved look. Ordered 3 more plus accessories. 2 weeks into 1st bathroom functioning and returning the other 3 plus likely the accessories. Beautiful faucet and look but not worth the constant splash and mess. Thankfully this is in office bath and not guest. Unsuspecting guests would take a bath if they used it

Nice but water flow isn't as expected.
We like the looks of the faucet a lot; exactly as expected. However, we expected the water to flow down in a straight oblong line. It doesn't. It starts that way, but after about an inch it twists and looks like any other faucet water flow. Also, there is no aeration filter. Thus, the water flows hard. Meaning that even with the volume turned down at the wall, the water splashes off my hands onto the counter. We'll get used to it and all will be well.

Got the 2 bath remodel thanks to Delta's Vero
I was just about to loose a 2 bath remodel to another brand with a similar style when i thought of the Delta's Vero- the price came in less with more margin dollars- style was much better and the homeowner was thrilled! Thank-you Delta!

awesome look
These faucets look fantastic in my newly remodeled bath. I have a narrow vanity and was afraid they may look too big but they fit beautifully. They do take a little getting used to because they operate a little differently on the handle. I agree with one reviewer that they do create some splash at full power but my sinks are a little smaller than most. One was delivered without the pop-up drain but I called and a replacement was promptly sent. Great customer service. I would not hesitate to order from here in the future.

Awesome contemporary design
We were looking for a modern and clean looking design to remodel our lavatory basins. This model has extremely simple lines and beautiful chrome finish. The side operation single valve operation is elegant and operates very smoothly. To top it off, the installation was incredibly simple and took us no time at all to install in all three of our bathrooms. One of our guests who recently returned from Europe remarked how he had seen a similar design in a bath over seas. We just love it.

Eyecatching!
We used 2 of these faucets in our newly remodeled master bathroom at our mountain retreat. They added an eyecatching modern flair to our rustic/contemporary master bath. We are very happy with the look as well as the functionality. I would recommend these to a friend and I would purchase another if the need arose.

Save your $ and frustration!
This faucet is pleasing to behold, but, functionally, it is a joke. If you want your counter top to look like it has just been visited by a family of ducks and water splatters half-way to your elbows (on your freshly-pressed shirt), then this baby is for you! Its problems are basically 2-fold: the water stream is not aerated and it exits the spout in a narrow but relatively high-velocity flow; This, in conjunction with the opening of the spout being quite high above the sink sets the stage for abundant water spatters whenever one places their hand, toothbrush, washcloth, etc. into the stream. It is a constant battle to keep the counter top and faucet wiped down and hard water spots contained. We have had ours for about two months and are seriously considering "eating" the significant loss and junking it in favor of a conventional, everyday faucet. No thanks, trendy industrial designers--you muffed this one.
