Preguntas y respuestas

I bought a new delta oil rubbed brone trim kit.

I was able to replace the handles very easily but i can not get the spout off. I have remove the allen screw on the front bottom of the spout and all of the putty under neat the seat of the spout but I can not get it off. If there is a set screw does that always mean it is a slip off ? Would wd40 help at all or some crw? any Ideas and Thank you.
Asked by: JR
Hi JR, Thank you for your question. Once the set screw is removed the spout should slide off. Often times mineral build up will make it hard to remove the spout. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the screw opening in the spout. Allow the solution a chance to soak in, the longer the better to help break up the mineral deposits. If the set screw is located on the front of your current spout, the new trim will not fit. For the new trims to work on an older rough the tub spout set screw should be on the back of the spout. Otherwise the rough will also need to be replaced. Thanks, Dave

I have the Classic Roman Tub Trim (T2710) and want to replace it with brushed nickle look. Do you have any faucets/handles that can be easily replaced?

Asked by: christian
Thank you for your inquiry, Christian! Basically any pair of our handles that start with a H6 in the Stainless Steel finish would be designed to fit our roman tub faucets. Such as the H64SS handle set. Please view the below link for more handle options. https://www.deltafaucet.com/search-results?searchTerm=h6&searchType=Delta_Default#resultPage=0&offset=1333.3333740234375 Best regards, Tanya

How to repalce an old tub faucet

I have this (see the image) old Delta Classic Roman Tub Faucet that I am trying to replace with a new chrome version. However, I am not able to remove the old one - I think it is screwed from the bottom of the tub and hence the only option is to break the tiled enclosure around the tub to access the bottom of the tub to unscrew. Does anyone know or can confirm? What is the new model that I would need to buy if I do not want to changed the rough in or anything - all I want is to replace the trim. Any help/insight/suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Asked by: mmn
Hi MMN, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately our new roman tub trims would not be compatible with the pictured faucet rough in valve. The entire faucet above and below deck would have to be replaced. Thanks, Dave

I have the T2710, I want a direct replacement in brushed nickel. What do you have.

Asked by: Dominick
Hi, Dominick! Thank you for your question. The Delta T2710 Roman Tub Faucet trim can be changed out to any new trim kit we have available, as the set screw is on the back of the spout, just like our new trim kits. Here is a link to our available trim kits in the Brilliance Stainless Steel finish: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/bathing/tub-fillers?categories=Delta_Bathroom_Bathing_Tub Fillers_Roman Tub&facetFinish=stainless Best Regards, Rosanna

changing/removing brass trim for oil rubbed bronze

I just bought a home that has this style tub hardware in brass. I like the style but want it all to be in an oil rubbed bronze look. I was able to take everything off but the spout. I removed all screws visually seen but it still won't come off from the base. Any suggestions? Are there screws I'm not seeing?
Asked by: Keith
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T2710 should have a set screw at the back of the spout that may be covered up by a button. That button should just pop off and there will be a set screw underneath. Loosen that with an allen wrench and the spout should come off.

Will any other manufacturers Roman Tub trim kits work with the Delta Roman Tub Rough Model#: R2707? i am only looking to change out the trim handles and the water spout, not the plumbing.

What replacement faucets are compatible with dexel?

I would like to replace an old roman tub faucet. Product name is dexel. The screws are located on the underside of the faucet. What faucet designs are compatible?
Asked by: Kris
Hi Kris, Thank you for your question. Since the spout is not held in place by a set screw, new trim kits will not work with the existing valve. To use a current trim kit you will need to first replace the rough-in valve with the R2707. Best regards, Jon

Hi. I have an old bathtub faucet that I want to change. It looks like a Delta t2710. I just want to change the faucet and the 2 knobs. What will i specify when I order?

Asked by: Rick
Hello Rick, Thank you for your question. If your current tub spout has a set screw on the back side of the spout, then any of our trim kits that start with a T27 will interchange for you. If your current tub spout does not have a set screw on the back side of the spout, then you would need to install a R2707 rough in valve below your tub decking to be able to use the new trim kits. i have a Delta 2710 roman tub I am trying to remove the spout I removed allen screw in back under small cap but the spout still will not come off.

Asked by: Ron
Hi Ron, Thank you for your question. The set screw is what holds the spout onto the valve. There may be hard water build up making the spout harder to remove. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the spout base and set screw hole. This should help break up the mineral build up and allow the spout to be removed. Thanks, Dave

T2710 tub spout will not come off

I have removed the rear cap and set screw but the spout will not come off. Does it screw off or lift straight up?
Asked by: Tom
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T2710 is held on by the set screw. It should pull straight up. If it does not, there may be mineral deposits built up preventing it from coming out. We recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water to remove the deposits.

We are replacing the T2710 model put in by the builders in 1992. We want to go with chrome finish and are wondering what models we can replace with that will fit. Thanks

Asked by: smtaylor64
Thank you for question! Just about all of our Roman Tub trims are available in chrome. You would want to make sure the trim you are planning on installing, has a set screw on the back of the spout, if you do not want to change the valve body. We still manufacture model T2710 in the chrome finish, and it does have a set screw on the back of the spout. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us directly. Best Regards, Benjamin

Roman tub faucet removal

I've taken out the back screw, Now do I pull it straight up, or turn it clockwise to remove it.
Asked by: Maria
Hi Maria, Thank you for your question! Once the set screw has been removed, you can pull straight up on the spout to remove it. Some models have an anti-swivel pin that will prevent you from rotating the spout. Otherwise, it may help to swivel it back and forth slightly as you pull up. Best regards, Jon

I have a classic tub filler in chrome,, I would like to update to a venetian broze trim kit... can you tell me what series will retro fit to it??

Asked by: Rondo85
Hi, Rondo85! Thank you for your question. To verify if a new trim kit will work with your existing valve body, we recommend to look at the tub spout assembly. The tub spout will have a set screw either in the front or back of the spout. If the set screw is in the front, no new roman tub trim will work with the existing valve body. If the set screw is in the back, any new trim kit will fit on the existing valve body. All of our new trim kits have the set screws on the back of the spout so they will retrofit on the original valve body. I hope this information helps. Best Regards, Rosanna

can I change the handles to a different style on my T2710 model

Asked by: susie
Hello Susie, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T2710 Classic Roman Tub Trim. I apologize for any difficulty finding this information. I know that can be frustrating. We are happy to help! Yes, In general, if the old Delta roman tub spout has a set screw on the back at the bottom securing it to the spout adapter rough, the old trim can be replaced with a new trim. Older Roman tub end valves were adjustable in height. You want to make sure the valve is set high enough in the deck so that new handles, which might be taller than older handles, can be assembled to the valve stems and not scrape on the handle bases. The minimum height from deck to top of the stem should be 1 ¾”. Pivotal T2799, T4799 handles are not compatible with older roughs. Please reach out at customerservice@deltafaucet.com or 1-800-345-DELTA if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best regards, Bryan
