Rated 1 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTING Bought the faucet and had it profressionally installed less than three months ago. All seemed well until one day when I was in the kitchen the faucet started on its own! Since then we have had problems getting it to turn on, turn off and even when we put it in the fully manual mode it does not always turn on. Its a great concept but when it doesn't work it is useless. Now I face the cost of not only a replacement but also professional installation.

When you touch to turn it off, it still has a small stream flowing....so now we must turn it off manually. Very frustrating. You would think a Delta faucet would last longer than a year.

I am used to touching the faucet, when I go to homes where they do not have the same faucet, it takes me awhile to turn on the faucet. I highly recommend the Delta Essa pull down faucet!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta - Essa faucet this is the worst faucet ever. the touch works for a few months and then it starts to drip after awhile, and now not even a year we have had this installed, the water just runs very low, had to have a plumber out several times, and the only way it will work is to take out the touch box so it just works manually, now have to turn it off and on all the time. dont waste your money on this faucet. very unhappy customer.

However, the water mix of hot with cold output at the hottest setting produces mildly hot water. I can't get HOT water. Am very concerned about how clean my dishes are going to be and may have to replace the faucet!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so happy this time:( We bought a Delta touch activated faucet for our condo a few years back and loved it! When we moved in to our home last year, we bought another one (different model) and we're definitely not in love this time around. Almost from the beginning, we lost water pressure, it started to sporadically drip and eventually it wouldn't even turn on manually. We'd have to let it "rest" a few minutes before we could get it to work again. Thankfully, we have a small, water filter faucet at our sink so at least we could get water when our faucet wasn't working. We called Delta and they diagnosed a solenoid problem and sent us a new one. (They originally sent us the wrong part and argued with me about what I received.) We finally got the right part, replaced the solenoid, thought all was well, we even had good pressure again. That was only a few months ago and now we're right back to where we started. It occasionally drips when it's off, we have terrible water pressure and we're starting to experience it not coming on all from time to time. Maybe we just got a lemon but Delta is going to have to replace this one for us and unfortunately we'll endure the cost of a plumber to install it again.

I had been using it for a couple of weeks and went to visit my daughter. I kept touching her faucet (that is not touch activated) when trying to turn the water on/off and realized just how much I like that feature in my kitchen. The faucet is very nice and I like it a lot!

We learned that it works best with a direct touch on top of the faucet. The feature really comes in handy if you are preparing or handling eggs, uncooked chicken and foods that might cause cross contamination. I use my elbow or arm to activate the faucet. There has been no problem with water splashing outside the sink because of the angle of the faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had three faucets over 5 years now [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought and installed three of these faucet, two at both of my houses that I owned and one at my girlfriend's house. She had to have one because her old faucet did not come on with touch, so I bought her one for her house. I love these faucets and I am about to move again and looking to buy and install another one. The faucet at my girlfriend's house was acting up last year. I called the Delta company team and they helped troubleshooting the situation. They replaced and shipped the part that was acting up, I love companies that stands by its product, and Delta is one of them.

I assumed that the water was supposed to come on when you touched the faucet. This is not the case with our unit. You can touch it four or five times and the water may or may not come on. Don't waste your money on the Delta Touch Activation faucet. We got hold of Delta, they sent us some parts, that a plumber had to install, and it still doesn't work correctly.

We can now say with all assurances that this faucet is tops. It is so easy to turn off and on, requiring only a flick of the wrist, that I don't know how we got along without it! In addition, the expandable sink spray with adjustable spray is a dandy feature. We love the faucet. BTW, we called our plumber before making this purchase. He recommended Delta as one of two brands he goes with. So glad we called him. Nothing like a great plumber. He steered us in the right direction.

I bought the Delta after doing some research and do not regret the decision. I love the on/off touch activation especially when my hands are messy from baking and I need to wash them. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, since we had to replace the batteries after just a year -- expected it would be closer to the 2 year mark.

We've had it for maybe 6 months now and I want to throw it away and start fresh. This is more work than it's worth and come to find out there is a mechanism that isn't working properly. They sent us a new part but now we need to pay a plumber to come out and replace or even better install a new one. We have a deep sink so getting to the parts is going to be awful. I'll be sticking to Moen or Kohler next time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First unit I received from build.com would only turn on if you touched the bottom part of it and the LED didn't show the right color for the temperature. Contacted Delta and they said a replacement a couple WEEKS later. Replacement unit fixed the first issue but the LED still doesn't work. (only ever shows red and never blue) Waiting on a second replacement. But if it worked, it would be great. Feels sturdy. It's just that the special features don't actually function.

Hi, does the Essa Touch2O kitchen faucet also have the shield spray feature? Some touch2O faucets mention this specifically (eg Leyland), but I didn't see it on the Essa. Thank You.

Need info Kitchen faucet 9113T-dst. / 6 C batt's Ok / runs slowly - in process of cleaning spray head //

Hi Vcg75, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9113T-DST-R. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! We recommend removing and cleaning the blue filter inside the top of the solenoid valve. Use needle nose pliers or tweezers to remove and replace the filter. Secure the pull-down hose, remove the spray head, and clean any debris trapped in the connection. Flush the faucet by turning on the water with the spray head removed. Clean the spray head by soaking in 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinse. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Our faucet drips when it is open but in the &quot;off&quot; mode for touch (the light is not on). In order to make it stop, the manual lever must be closed, so I am assuming there is a washer or something at the lever point that needs replaced?
