Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIgh quality and modern design We bought this for a kitchen remodel. It was difficult trying to find a simplistic modern looking facet without curvy curly stick handles and under 17 inches. We decided on the Delta Trinsic 9959-DST for the high rating, life time warranty, and made in North America. We have had the faucet for only two months and very happy with it and our plumber who installed the faucet recommended Delta for its quality and customer service. It is very easy to use and to clean. The pull down uses magnets and not gravity weights to hold the pullout sprayer in place and makes retractions very easy. You can switch via an ergonomic button between aerated or spray mode and have a free hand - you do not have to continuously hold the button when using the spray. There is some splashing on the counter when the spray is used at the maximum but surprised that it was at a minimum as I was expecting more. The only con, I wish it was a bit slimmer – at least by another 20%. With style these days big, tall and chunky, this was the most simplistic and higher quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wasn't my first choice I had been looking for a faucet that was more user friendly than my prior one. But I had in my mind I still wanted something similar. My previous faucet had a straighter line and the hose pulled out straight across instead of down. It was my style..modern but not too art deco. When the store I purchased it in didn't have anything to my liking in stock, I had to reassess what I wanted. I really didn't want an art deco design, but my choices were very limited. I needed to purchase one that day since my old faucet was completely broken and we were also replacing the sink the same day. When I saw this was pretty much my only choice, I was a bit depressed since I really didn't like the look. It reminded me of a laboratory faucet. But once we installed it my mind was changed. I love the fact that the hose pulled down right into the drain. I also loved that I didn't really have to pull it out the faucet, I could just pivot it to clear away debris. When using my old faucet, while using the hose, sometimes it would slip out of my hand, since it was so big and bulky. It was like trying to tame an octopus. The water would spray all over the kitchen as well as my clothes. It was always such a big mess. This faucet is very sleek and won't slip out of your hand. But even if it did, the hose faces down so water will only spray in the sink. I would recommend this to everyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A faucet very well conceived. A great acquisition for our kitchen. Especially appreciate the magnetic lock of the pull-down. The low flow water rate is more of an urban advantage, not so useful in the country with artesian well; but I guess we will grow accustomed to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, beautiful, easy to install As a woman, I picked out a faucet based on how well the sprayer would go back into the faucet without it hanging out later on, when it starts to wear out. Never did I think it would be as easy as it was to install. I thought perhaps I would have to hire someone, but with a little bit of reading of the directions and the ease in which to hook up the water lines, as well as installing the actual faucet, it was a snap for even I to do. Took me no time at all and it was perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good, but drips... Great looking modern faucet that gets lots of compliments. It drips however, and sometimes has a random spray when in standard faucet mode. You have to really press down hard to make sure it is not in spray mode to prevent this. Even when not using the spry mode in awhile, it will randomly drip from it.

Someone responded that the sprayer is plastic. Are they saying that the pull out section (like the last 2 inches on the faucet) is plastic or do they mean the inside assembly of the sprayer is plastic. Also, is the water aerated?

For the 9159-DST & 9959-DST, is there a nozzle option that doesn't have a pullout hose or a nozzle head option without the sprayer and only aerator. Are there other solutions, not listed, to achieve this?

Can I attach a water filter to this faucet?

Can this item be shipped to Brooklyn NY 11237.

Hi, wbcIII! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9159-BL-DST faucet may not be shipped to Brooklyn, NY 11237 as it has a flow rate of 1.80 GPM @ 60 PSI. The maximum flow rate to be within the NYC Green Code is 1.5 GPM @ 60PSI. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a particular cleaning product I should use so as not to damage the finish? I have the brass/champagne bronze finish.

Hi there Becca, Thank you for your inquiry! A comprehensive list of cleaners is impossible to recommend because of the variety of materials that are a part of our many models of faucets. What may be fine for a spout may damage a handle. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measure is needed, a solution of 50% white vinegar (never Apple vinegar) could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. Caution: Vinegar can permanently damage porous rock surfaces such as granite or limestone countertops. Use extreme care if such a surface is in the vicinity. To soak a faucet or part still on a faucet: 1. Mix white vinegar and tap water to a half and half proportion. 2. Put a rag or towel in the solution to soak it up. 3. Wrap the rag or towel around the part. 4. Let sit for up to an hour or so. 5. Use the rag or a clean, soft toothbrush to scrub the remaining hard water buildup. o Avoid harsh abrasives or polish o Avoid bleach-based cleaners o Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. o Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. o Because cleaning formulas can change without notice, Delta Faucet Company does not endorse any specific cleaner. does this Trinsic faucet have an aerorator - that softens the stream when not on spray mode?

i purchased this model about 2 years ago. roughly 6 months ago the faucet started to make a pounding noise when the hot water is openned up then the hot water will shut off byitself.This is the only faucet in the house that does this.

Hi, Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience. We are more than happy to help you. Reduced flow or no flow is typically caused by debris. If only one side is affected, there is debris in the supply line. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, then fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies. Check flow from the faucet. If this does not help, please let us know. I would like to purchase this faucet as a replacement for my current one.  I currently have 3 holes drilled and will need to cover the two I don’t need with this faucet.  Do you have hole.covers? Coordinating soap dispenser?

Otherwise, you may also use a soap/lotion dispenser such as the RP1001 or the RP3816 Hole Cover.
