My Delta spout is 20 years old (the classic in chrome with the crystal ball handles). "If" there was an anti swivel screw originally done, would there be a way to detach the spout and just put a new Delta spout on (with out going under neath the deck)

Asked by: ali Marco
Dear Ali Fl, Thank you for your question. Yes, If your current tub spout has a set screw on the back side of the spout, then any of our newer Delta trim kits that start with a T27 will interchange for you. However, the spout assembly may partially cover the anti-swivel pin hole in the deck. Best regards, Tanya

what is the best way to go from pvc to copper
Asked by: sam
Dear Sam, Thank you for your question. Yes, the Delta Windemere Roman Tub trim kit BT2796 will work on the R2700 rough-in valve assembly. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-B-BT2796%20Rev%20B.pdf Best regards, Tanya

I have the spout off( was a 20 year old classic Delta T2710 ). The valve looks like this R2700 but could be the R2707 since they both appear the same from looking ontop. Was the R2707 avail 1994 or was it just the R2700 as it will determine what new trim.

Asked by: ali Marco
Hello Ali! The only determining factor on the trim you can replace this model with, would be the set screw placement. If the set screw is on the back of your spout, then any current T27 roman tub trim will work with either rough in valve. If you have an anti swivel pin in the front, many models could also work, however they may not fully cover the existing hole in the deck. The R2707 utilizes jack screws which can be adjusted above the deck. If you do not see a silver washer with a screw below it after removing the handles, then you have the R2700 rough valve. Can you tell me what the flow rate @ 50 psi is on the R2700?

Asked by: DennyH
Hi, Denny! Thank you for your question. The flow rate for the roman tub unit will be determined by the trim kit that is used for the unit rather than the rough valve body. What are the differences between the R2700 and R2707?

Thanks
Asked by: Stu
Hi Stu, Thanks for your question. The R2700 has a maximum deck thickness of 1 1/4", but can be extended up to 2 1/4" with the RP18504 extension kit. The mounting nuts must be tightened from below the deck. The R2707 has a maximum deck thickness of 2 1/2". The mounting washers can be tightened from above the deck using the jack screws. Thanks, Jon

What is the thread type above the deck on the spout adapter, i.e. above the top washer?   The spout adapter has loosened and I want to find a slim brass nut to tighten it from the top, to avoid dismantling the finished tub.
