Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not my favorite design [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unless the holes in the granite are perfectly cut, this rough in can be difficult to install. The reason is because the holding force is a pinching force pressing down on the granite top. The metal rings designed to hold against the top are not much larger than the hole itself. Thus, if the hole is a little too big, or if the granite did not cut cleanly, the force pulls the rough in at an angle. This makes the faucet not fit quite correctly, if at all. The sprayer rough in is the most difficult mainly because the part with the screw threads is free, not fixed like the faucets. So, you have to tighten very securely or it spins when you put on the decorative cover. Naturally, since this has to be the tightest of the four pieces they give you a plastic part, instead of metal like the other three. I will not be buying any similar type design in the future.

Bad mistake...One box in particular looked as if it had been sent back, and sure enough was missing a single mounting bracket that I was able to get online from Delta, but which held up my install, inspection, etc....

How do you divert the water from the faucet to the handheld shower? Is some sort of diverter valve also needed?

I am planning to install this with the Lahara T4738-SS that comes with the hand shower

Does a standard 6 X 6 inch tile mean that it is a thick tile installation?

Hi, Thomas! Thank you for your question. The Delta R4707-MF Rough Valve has a 5" (127 mm) minimum from wall. The maximum deck thickness for the unit is 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) for thick deck tile. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a substitute for the Roman tub plumbing rough in kit R4707-MF?  It is out of stock and unavailable everywhere.  I have the Ashlyn Roman faucet trim kit model T4764, but I can’t install it without a plumbing rough in kit.

Why isn't the flow rate listed for the R4707 rough or any of the T4700 roman tub trims? I cannot find this on the technical documents or online. For instance the R4707 and the T4777-PR. I need to submit these documents for a project.

I just installed an R 4707-MF. The hot and cold valves both fail to turn off completely, just full on and about 1/2 on. I tried lifting the handle off and directly rotated the shaft, no difference. My 20 years experience is with less quality brands.

Hi Burt, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model R4707-MF. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! I recommend checking that the seats, springs, and stems are installed correctly in the valves. The wider part of the spring goes in first, then the rubber seat sits over the spring. When installing the stem, the solid metal part of the bottom plate should be over the seat and spring to stop the water flow when off. The tops of the stems should be aligned as shown in the installation manual. The flat parts face away from the spout, and the stops on the stems face to the right.
