Rated 2 out of 5 by from Two in three years! Disappointed in the quality. I purchased this direct from Delta about 8-9 months ago as a replacement for the original that was newly installed in 2020 as part of a bathroom remodel. The finish wore off on the original and the replacement has suffered the same fate - but much more quickly. Very disappointed in the quality given the cost. There is nothing special about what happens in my sink. Soap, water, toothpaste, mouthwash, and standard cleaning. All the normal things that would happen in a bathroom sink.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's a drain pipe! I bought this item to replace the one that was installed in April 2020 when we had our master bathroom renovated. The black matte finish had worn off the flange and unfortunately I couldn't just purchase the flange in a black matte finish. Really do like the black matte finish, but I was disappointed that the original only lasted a little over two years. I hope this new one fares better. Installation was fairly straightforward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like the picture [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this product online and it is exactly what I was looking for. It is a replacement to what I have. I got very good customer support on the phone as well. Do not use harsh chemicals when cleaning your sink, it may take away the finish of this product.

My double sink vanity has porcelain bowls with 1 3/4 inch diameter drain openings (w. overflow). The depression around the drain openings is sized to fit a 2 1/2 inch OD drain flange. What Delta popup drain would fit?

Asked by: Mark1984
Thank you for your question, Mark1984! This pop-up assembly has a flange that is 2 1/8" in diameter with a 1 3/8" threaded shank. The 72173 Push Pop-Up Assembly is 2 1/2" in diameter at the top of the flange and the portion that goes into the sink is 1 5/8". https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-L-72173%20Rev%20B.pdf Best regards, Jon

How to connect drain assembly to drain pipe?

I have bought the Delta 521 DST-A and I cannot see how I am supposed to fit the drain assembly to the drain pipe. First of all the drain asembly is a 1.25 inch pipe in diameter and my drain pipe is 1.75 inches in diameter. Also there are no threads on the end of the drain assembly piece so even if I had a connecting pipe how would it attach?. The drain assembly piece comes about 6 inches short of the drain pipe. I don't believe I am missing parts so what parts do I need to purchase at the store?
Asked by: cfs
Hi Cfs, Thank you for your question. You will need to purchase a slip joint extension tube in either 1-1/4" or 1-1/2". You will also need to purchase a 1-1/2" to 1-1/4" reducing bushing. These are compression style fittings that compress onto the pipe to secure, not thread on. These are available at most hardware stores or home centers, not through Delta. Thanks, Dave

Hello. I was wondering if this drain assembly is a push up and push down assembly since the rod assembly is not included? Thank you.

Asked by: robert
Hello Robert, Thank you for your question. The Delta Pop-Up/Drain assembly is a standard drain assembly that connects to the lift rod, coming through the faucet. However, we do manufacture the Push Pop-Up assemblies 72172-BL or 72173-BL. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=72172-BL https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=72173-BL Best regards, Tanya Phone: 1-800-345-3358 | Email: customerservice@deltafaucet.com | Facebook/Twitter: @deltafaucet

When installed, is the flange supposed to sit 1/2 " above the sink level?

Asked by: Pauline
Thank you for your question, Pauline! The stopper assembly, when opened, will sit approximately 1/2" above the sink basin, however the flange should be flush with the sink's surface. Best regards, Edward

Will this drain assembly fit a sink with a 1-1/2" drain hole

I find that none of the plastic drain assemblies will fit a 1-1/2" hole and am looking for options.
Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. The threaded portion of the flange is 1 3/8" and the top surface diameter is 2 1/8". This assembly should work with a 1 1/2" diameter drain. However, the depth of the hole must be 1 5/8" to 2 3/8". Thanks, Jon

Do I need plumbers putty to install rp26533rb

Asked by: Don
Dear Don, Thank you for your question. In the installation instructions for the RP26533RB Delta Metal Drain Assembly, we do recommend using bead of silicone or plumber's putty on the underside of the flange. Best regards, Tanya Delta Consumer Response Specialist Consumer Care Phone: (800) 345-3358
