Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great looking, but finish problems like others... Great faucet and easy install, but we've encountered finish problems on the faucet handle bases. The problem is clearly with the base pieces (worse for us on the 'cold water' handle, but problem is starting on the hot side as well). We have never used chemicals to clean any part of this sink, just soap and water. The base rings must be manufactured differently than the rest of the faucet parts, as the rest are holding up great. It is a shame that one small base ring can ruin the overall faucet.

This faucet, when we put it in over a year ago, had a semi loose connection between the Y plastic hose and the hot water connection. It’s plastic on plastic. What happens then is it shoots off and water goes everywhere in the vanity. We called and got a replacement part when it was under warranty. That lasted a year until this AM, shot off the hot again. I will not be buying another hose quick connections setup for under the faucet. This is a design flaw, I have no problem with Delta customer service but I cannot in good conscious recommend the Porter 35984-LF-BN as a replacement facuet because I have to worry every time I turn the hot water on it’s going to shoot off the quick connector. The good news it’s not the hose from the wall, so when the water is shut off, it’s off. It’s the top piece that goes to the Y connection that marries up to the other plastic part to “click”.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loose handles I bought the matching set for the shower and the sink. The handle on the cold side just spins around. I saw on another post they also had loose handles. You suggested tightening the set screw. The top part of the handle has separated and there is no way to fix it. Can you buy replacement handles?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality Our faucet has the same discoloration.. looks horrible! Won’t clean up can’t stand looking at it!!!!! Oh and then forget about using it the handles don’t function the way they should and they sound about 30 years old creaky and loud. I have the Delta Porter collection in my bathroom and we are extremely disappointed in the quality of this collection. Delta your products are beautiful but do not last.

Now the hot water handle is really loose. I just read in a review that a plumber had stated that this could be expected to happen with these faucets. Very disappointed in this Delta product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quick connect broke after 3 months One of the plastic water supply quick connects came off spraying water inside the bathroom cabinet and it would not recconnect. I went to Home Depot & plumbing specialty stores to replace the tubing with 3 quick connections. No one sells this part. I had to get the contractor who installed this system to fix it. He had to buy the entire faucet system to replace the one part. Good thing it was under warranty. Seems silly that parts are hard to replace. We like the faucet-just mad it broke so soon and the inconvenience to get it to work again.

Our whole house has Delta faucets throughout and we have been nothing be pleased with their looks and performance since we built the house in 2003. Delta is the only faucet product we will ever use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta is the BEST! This is a new faucet, so we won't know how long it will actually last. Easy to install. All my plumbing fixtures are now Delta. Only the kitchen faucet has needed stem parts and Delta was super quick to mail them. I received the parts in 3 days! The finish on my older Delta faucets are like new. This was a replacement for the Big Orange Home Improvement brand faucet where the finish was nickel and turned to a brass color over time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The coloring is perfect We recently replaced our bathroom vanity and purchased 2 delta oil rubbed bronzed faucets - the first day we had to order a new stopper for one of the sinks. Overall the facets look awesome -the handles are kind of flimsy - would never put in a bathroom for kids but for my husband and I - they are fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lever handle is designed and made poorly While I agree that this faucet needs extra room to operate the sink trap, the real problem I have had with this Delta faucet was the faucet handle that loosens and is not capable of being tightened. The very top of the lever handle works loose after light use and first becomes wobbly and loose but eventually works itself to the point where the faucet cannot be turned on and off by using this lever. This has nothing to do with the set screw in the handle, this part of the handle seems to be manufactured incorrectly and there is no way to tighten it even when disassembling the lever. A poor design combined with cheap construction. I am very disappointed with this product from Delta.

So now I get to take everything back apart ,rebox and go back and trade it in for a DIFFERENT did I say DIFFERENT make.What a Total waste of time and money.By the way the warranty only means something if IT WORKS the first time !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Owned only 3 years.Handle broke and it appears no parts are available. Bought the Porter model from Home Depot 3 years ago. Chose for the oil/bronze color. Was easy to install and operated well. However, the cold water handle broke off. I've been searching for a replacement but it seems the only replacement is chrome. I'm very disappointed that even though the faucet can still be purchased, there are no service parts. Not cool! This will definitely impact my future fixture purchases.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not purchase. This faucet was purchased at Home Depot. It's parts are apparently manufactured in Mexico. The plastic retention nut used beneath the cold handle arrived in the box cross-threaded though it was sealed in plastic wrap at the factory (new). Therefore it would not secure the handle; the product was worthless. This required an additional trip to the store to return it, delaying our project's completion. Delta product designers/engineers need to specify durable materials to justify the elevated cost of their products and ensure that they will actually work. I will not purchase Delta products again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect match Elegant, contemporary and traditional are the three words is how I would describe Delta Two Handle Porter Widespread Lavatory Faucet. I just finished remodeling my main bathroom and installed a new vanity, it is stained in Burnt Cherry and has a beautiful granite top. Trying to find a faucet that was modern yet had some traditional features, I saw a perfect match in the Delta Porter Widespread. The brushed nickel was perfect complementary match to the granite top. I also have another Delta faucet in my kitchen that has a lifetime guarantee (which I have used several times), I'm confident that Delta would give me the same protection to my lavatory faucet.

Are quick connect hoses compatible from different faucets?  Could I extend the assembly that came with my faucet?

The copper line coming out tomorrow f the faucet is loose, it spins and wiggles, straight out of the box . Is that normal?

Remove the hose assembly?

The instructions are not clear but you need to see the tiny red print to put the hot on the hot side - can the Hose Assembly RP44493 be pulled back off so I can switch the handles? Or would I be better off removing and switching the stem nut assembly?

Dear Read the instructions, Thank you for your question. The Quick connect hose assembly RP44493, on the Delta Porter Lavatory 35984LF-BN-ECO faucet, can be removed once installed. To remove the quick connect hose assembly, pinch in on the sides of the clips, push up, and then pull down. This should disconnect the line. Best regards, Tanya

The handles on this faucet have come loose. Do I need a Delta specific hex wrench to tighten? If not, what size works?

Hello Tony, Thank you for your question. You can tighten the set screw on the outside of the handle with a 3/32" Allen wrench. Up inside at the top of the handle assembly is another larger (5/32" Allen) set screw that holds the lever to the handle base. Best regards, Tanya
