Rated 1 out of 5 by from Same issue as others - luke warm water at best The issue I'm having is that the water temp is not hot enough for me or my wife when it's turned as hot as it can go. The water is luke warm at best. What can I do to fix this without having to punch a hole in the wall to replace it?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major flow restriction This rough-in "Delta R22000-WS" with the service stops has a huge flow restriction in both the hot and cold inlets. although this rough-in can accept 1/2 pipe connections there is a restriction in the inlet that is at best 1/4" round hole causing a serious restriction and pressure issue at the shower head. I was hesitant to install it but after being reassured that it would be fine, I went ahead. Unfortunately, as I suspected the pressure at the shower head is bearable until I try to use the shower head and body spray at the same time. Very disappointing flow rate. My supply pressure to the rough-in is 60PSI but it's not enough to overcome the built-in restriction that's in the rough-in body. I now have to tear down my brand-new tile shower encloser and replace the rough-in. I need to know if the Delta R22000 has the same flow restriction as the Delta R22000-WS?

Temp on r22000 is only warm, how do I increase the temperature

Asked by: Jeff
Thank you for your question, Jeff! The R22000 will use a cartridge that has a rational limit stop which limits how hot the water will get. This should be adjusted at the time of installation however the information on making this adjustment can be found in the Maintenance and Installation manual for the trim kit you choose. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/104437%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Edward

I have a 3 setting trim with a rain head and handheld attached. My plumber capped off the left port instead of the right port. The 3 settings work fine except there is no hot water when I use the shared setting. The individual settings work fine.

Asked by: Jason
Hi, Jason. Thank you for your question. We recommend to either replumb the lines from the right port to the left port, or you can purchase a 6-setting diverter cartridge. The part number is RP51919. You will have some blank settings but the three settings needed, will work properly. Here is a link to the cartridge: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP51919 Best Regards, Rosanna

There is a plug supplied to plug the right side port for three setting use. Does this plug need to be soldered into place or can I simply screw a cap onto the threads instead of using the plug?

Asked by: Jeff
Thank you for your inquiry, Jeff! The cap can be soldered into the port, or you can purchase a threaded cap separately. Best regards, Tanya

You say this can't be used with a tub. Why can't the left port be used for a tub? Specs show at least 4.7gpm (40psi) fill rate. If I can't use it with a tub what Delta products would you suggest for a tub, shower head plus hand held shower combo?

Asked by: NH_Al
Hello NH_Al, Thank you for your question. The Delta MultiChoice Universal Integrated Shower and Diverter Rough-In R22000 valve is not designed to be used with a tub spout. However, you may connect a non-diverter tub spout to one of the diverter ports as a temperature tester. Since the flow rate from the spout would be lower than a standard installation, we do not recommended to use it as a tub filler. Alternatively, you can install an R10000 and R11000 valve with corresponding trim kits. The tub spout should be connected to the bottom port of an R10000 valve to provide sufficient flow to fill a tub. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R10000-UNBX https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R11000 Best regards, Tanya

Hi I have the R22000 with a 3 setting diverter. I'm using it with the T27867 control. My plumber installed it along with a hand held and 3 body jets. The hand held and shower work but jets do not. Any suggestions why?

Asked by: Jfel
Hi, Jim Fel. Thank you for your question. With a 3-setting diverter trim, only the top and left ports will be in use. We recommend a 6 setting diverter trim. We recommend the T27967 6-setting trim kit. Or, you can purchase just the 6 setting diverter cartridge, RP51919, so that all of your setting will work with your existing trim. If you just want 3 individual settings and no shared settings, we recommend to purchase the RP71718. Best Regards, Rosanna

I am using a 2.5 gpm shower head, a hand held shower and 4 ea. 2.0 gpm body sprays. Should I use 3/4" supply lines or will 1/2" supply lines provide enough water pressure? I have very good pressure to the house.

Asked by: kerk1950
kerk1950, Thank you for your question. The valve has a 1/2" connection, so larger diameter supplies will need to be adapted to fit, reducing any gains in flow rate. The maximum flow rate will depend mostly on the trim kit that you use, as the cartridge is where the water will be restricted the most. Here are the approximate maximum flow rates at 60 PSI per series: T248/T249 series - 5.0 GPM T278/T279 series - 5.8 GPM T27T8/T27T9 series - 7.2 GPM Best regards, Jon

Asked by: Chris
Hi, Chris! Thank you for your question. The Delta R22000 will work with 3 shower components. The cartridges will be included with the trim kit that you select. We recommend selecting a trim kit with 6 settings. No and it wouldn't help your flow rate anyways since the restrictions will be the orifices in the valve body itself.

Asking because we want the control and diverter to be located away from the tub filler and shower head (on the back wall of the tub/shower and not on the same wall as where the tub filler and shower head will be located).

Why can't I cap off the left side if I'm using only two ports. Up above another person asked and it said cap left. The directions just say the one not used. On valve it says cap port 3. But I have to run pipe the opposite direction.
Asked by: Lucien
Dear Lucien, Thank you for your question. If you are plumbing the Delta MultiChoice Universal with Integrated Diverter Rough R22000, to be used with 2 showering devices and using a 3 setting diverter trim kit, you will have to cap the right side port. The unit will not function properly if you cap off the left port, you will not get all three diverter setting. Is this and the trim (T27867) thermostatic?

Is this valve and ARA (T27867) trim kit thermostatic? Meaning you can set the temperature handle once, and use a volume handle to turn the shower on/off without messing with the temperature.
Asked by: john
Hi John, Thank you for your question! This valve will work with 14, 17, or 17T series trims with an integrated diverter. The T27867 trim does have separate volume and temperature control as you have described. However, it use a Monitor pressure-balance cartridge to prevent scalding. Thermostatic valves instead balance the temperature of the water (for less variation in temperature). The T27T867 operates the same way as the T27867 but has a thermostatic TempAssure cartridge. Are there limitations on the distance  from the r22000ws valve to the outlet of a hand shower or shower head, i.e. can the valve be installed on one side of the shower and the shower head on another about 5' away horizontally and  needing two 90* elbows?

Asked by: Rbnh
Thank you for your question, Rbnh! There are no specific limitations on the distance you can install the shower head from the R22000WS valve, however the extra elbow could possibly create a very slight decrease in pressure depending on the PSI of the home. Best regards, Edward

For a 3 setting diverter, do I have to instal the plug on the right side, or can I instal it on the left side?

I'm installing a hand shower in addition to the overhead shower head, and the door to the shower is on the left, so I want to install the hand shower on the right side of the valve. If I could plumb from the right side of the diverter, I could avoid having some interesting plumbing challenges. I'm going to install the Traditional Pressure Balance trim. Thanks!
Asked by: Doc Dave
Hi, Doc Dave! Thank you for your question. If you are only using two ports, one for your shower head and one for your hand shower, you must plug the right port. You will have to plumb the left port over with a copper pipe in order for your hand shower to be installed on the right side. Best Regards, Rosanna
