Does not hold up
Bought a home that had this in our tub. Looked new but less than a year and the o-ring popped out of the top, and last weekend a rubber gasket fell out of the tub spout and no longer works. Not worth saving so we tossed it and got something else. Started to buy another tub spout (RP77092SS) as there is always a lemon but wasn't willing to risk over $100 to find out. Something that is really important to note is that the threaded connection on the back of this is ~1-1/8" which works with the adapter that Delta sells. You will not find a replacement for that size at Lowe's or Home Depot. Delta has them but you have to know what you're looking for and it irritates me that the adapter was soldered onto my copper line and unfortunately stuck with another Delta. I'm sure there are other manufacturer's that have 1-1/8" threaded connection but I don't have the time to research. If my new tub spout fails too then the adapter is getting tossed and I install a new copper line and install something else.

Ugggh - we installed ours, and the little button up top is non-functional, making this a non-diverter tub spout. We need a diverter.

Terrible
Builder installed these faucets through home. They all leave water stains snd drip marks . The bathtub is worst faucet. Day one was already stained with water marks. Also cheap plastic. And the slowest tub filling . So disappointed looking to replace the entire home faucets .

Pretty faucet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really elegant faucet. Coordinates with the Ashlyn series. Finish is even and nice. I have not yet installed so I can't comment on water flow.

Very Nice Style but Feels like Plastic
I was hoping for a nice heavy metal faucet but this is very light and feels like cheap plastic to me (I got the Chrome). I think we will keep and install and hope for the best.

Can the square plastic component in the end of the spout (where the water comes out) be removed without affecting the performance of the spout?

No, the square plastic component inside of this tub spout is a flow regulator. Removing this part will result in a void in any warranty available on the product, but will also redirect water.
