Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pull down kitchen faucet I bought this faucet more than a year from Lowe’s Store. It worked good, and I and my wife like it. Delta brand faucets are dependable, and life time warranty. I replaced all my 3 faucets in my house to all Delta brands because I trusted it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Faucet, Awful Directions We really love our new faucet. It is so much better than our old one and looks like it was always meant to be in our home. My only issue are the directions. I couldn't make any sense of them and the only way I was able install successfully was by going on YouTube. Without the video I found, I would have taken the faucet back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great faucet, easy install, terrible instructions I just installed this faucet. It looks great and works well too. My wife picked it out and really likes it so far. Now that it's installed, I'm very happy with it. I'm pretty capable at DIY stuff much more difficult than this. The installation shouldn't have been hard, but the instructions were confusing and at times misleading. The were written very genetically, in order to cover a lot of models. Unfortunately, this model wasn't really one of them. The main issue was that the hot and cold lines go into the faucet and there is a third hose that comes down from the faucet. All of the instructions show this being connected to an optional hand sprayer, that wasn't part of this model. You were supposed to connect that to a small outlet port on the bottom of the faucet. There were no instructions that indicated any connection was necessary if you didn't have the sprayer. I got everything connected, turned on the faucet, and had water pouring out under my sink. In the dark, it took a bit to realize the port that connected to the sprayer (according to my instructions) was the source of the water. I figured there was supposed to be cap to seal it. Couldn't find anything like that. I finally came to this website to get the instructions and it was a revised manual that included the step for connecting that to the main hose for faucets without the side sprayer. There were other issues with both manuals, neither really did a great job showing how to seat the faucet. The were lots of pictures of trim rings, seats, and base plates. None off these were used in my faucet, just one white foam adhesive gasket. I'm ok with manuals that cover multiple items. At least the English versions of the instructions appeared to be written by someone who knew English. But beyond that, this was very frustrating. Delta owes me two hours of my life back. I'll finish by saying that now that it's installed, I'm very happy with it. It seems very solid and will made. The handle control movement is smooth and comfortable. I expect it will work well and last a long time. The water pressure is mediocre, but that has more to do with regulations than with this faucet. The last one we had was no better. It should have taken 30 minutes. It took 3 hours.

After installing this faucet in our home, we have found that hot water now takes a long time to come out of the tap. It is cold for a good minute. We can feel that there is warm/hot water in the copper line that feeds the faucet under the sink. Thoughts?

Asked by: Buck
Hello Buck, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. The issue your experiencing with our Delta 19957Z-SPSD-DST hot supply could be caused by the hot water heater. We recommend turning the hot water heater down to 120 or lower, If this does not fix the issue we then would ask you to flush. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Nicole

How do you fill the soap dispenser?

Asked by: Readi Kilowatt
Hi Readi Kilowatt, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To fill the soap dispenser, lift the head and pump assembly out of the bottle and pour not more than 8 oz. into the bottle. DO NOT remove the bottle each time as this weakens the neck. Pull the pump and head assembly out occasionally to soak and pump warm water through the pump to remove soap buildup. Note: Initially it may take up to 12 pumps to bring soap to the pump tip. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/106557%20Rev%20C.pdf We appreciate your inquiry. Asked by: Chito
Hello Chito, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! If the Valdosta® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet Model#: 19957Z-SPSD-DST leaks from under handle: Remove the handle and cap using the supplied wrench, ensure the bonnet nut is tight. If the leak persists, shut off the water supplies, replace the valve cartridge. When reinstalling the parts, make sure the bonnet nut is tightened securely with a wrench. If faucet leaks from the spout outlet, shut off the water supplies, replace the valve cartridge. When reinstalling the parts, make sure bonnet nut is tightened securely with a wrench. Failure to securely tighten the bonnet nut with a wrench could result in water damage. A small amount of water may run out the spout or drip for a very short period after the faucet is shut off. This is a natural occurrence caused by the long flexible hose. Do not attempt to disassemble the cartridge. There are no repairable parts inside. Please reach out with further questions! I have this faucet for a few years. I noticed a leak. Water drops are running down the gray water line hose. They appear to be coming from up inside the faucet. Advice/ suggestions are appreciated.

Asked by: Leng
Hi Leng, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Delta Faucet Valdosta® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Soap Dispenser And ShieldSpray® Technology In Spotshield Stainless MODEL#: 19957Z-SPSD-DST. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. If you are having a leaking issue, we would recommend flushing the faucet, wiping the puck under the cartridge, and making sure the bonnet is tight. Please see the step-by-step instructions below, these can also be found on page 5 of the M&I. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/106557%20Rev%20C.pdf To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Check the supply lines: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply, then do this with the hot waterside. Once the flush has been done, please reconnect both water lines. Lastly, insert a small screwdriver into the slot in the button and remove it. Loosen the set screw inside the handle. Remove handle. Remove cap by rotating counterclockwise. Bonnet may be stiff due to O-ring but should rotate by hand. Remove the bonnet nut by rotating counterclockwise with a wrench. Remove the cartridge by pulling it directly back on the stem. Take a soft cloth and wipe the puck located behind the cartridge, let the cartridge soak in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water for about 10 minutes before reassembling. This should fix the leak you are having, but if you find the issue remains, the cartridge would need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole
