Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta400-SS-DST This probably more of an installation problem than equipment, but not sure. About 4-6 weeks ago, replaced a 20 + yr. old Moen with this model. Plumbing company said better. First three weeks- great. Then it started to "occasionally" drip one drop at a time. Plumber returned and made a small adjustment, and the drip is gone, but now, pushing handle all the way to the left (red or hot), handle is perfectly perpendicular, Water comes out warm, never HOT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta 400DST Not fond of the plastic stuff underneath and the length of the water connections are and should be long enough for any application, i guess it makes it simpler for homeowners along with some plug and play connections with o-rings that do not leak yet nor do i expect them to. I replaced a chronic Kohler leaker around swivel spout top along with rebuild kits that would last awhile but not long enough to justify the price paid. I canned it after a few years and got this one. IMO it is one step down but so far it has not leaked and performs well all functions, not as heavy as the other faucet but does what it is supposed to do and longevity we will see but i do recommend because it is simple and functions well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Homeowner Purchased 400 DST model and should have purchased 340 series as I had no available hole in sink for spray nozzle however was able to drill out base to to accept sprayer ! Works great looks great. I am 76 years old and have bought and installed many faucets and can say without any doubt these are excellent faucets and great service from Ferguson I highly recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sprayer leaks My plumber installed this faucet and sprayer at kitchen sink about 4 weeks ago. I have noticed water on the floor of the cabinet under my kitchen sink. After some investigation, I have realized that after I use the sprayer and return it to its holder, if there’s water on it it leaks down between the sprayer and the holder it sits in. There’s not a tight seal there to prevent this from happening. My plumber says that’s normal. I know that’s not normal! What can be done about it???? Over time it’s going to ruin the floor under the sink.

installing a delta 400-dst-l , spray hose leaking , does not leak with the plug in the hose end end goes in and clip shuts tight. need a hint or two.

Thank you for your question Bruce. There is a small o-ring that goes on the end of the hose assembly. If this have been damaged or accidentally removed, it will not seal properly and can lead to a leak. This part is available to order as part number RP10345. how do you replace valve assembly

Hi Bud, Thank you for your question. To access the RP50587 valve assembly in the model 400-DST-L you will first need to shut off the water supply to the faucet. You will then to remove the handle by removing the set screw on the front of the handle. Next unscrew the cap and bonnet. Once these parts are removed you will be able to replace the valve assembly. Is there a Delta replacement adapter (for the aerator) to connect the 400-DST-L kitchen faucet to a Sears/Kenmore portable dishwasher? This new Delta faucet leaks out of the top of the dishwasher connector (using our previous faucet aerator adapter).

How long are the supply lines from sink top to end?

I just recently replaced my kitchen faucet. I reinstalled another Delta faucet. The supply lines on the new faucet were about 2 ft or more in length. More than enough to reach the cut-off valves at the bottom of my kitchen sink cabinet.

Delta Kitchen Faucet Model 400

I must have an old model because those two copper tubes at the bottom have a flat end. Are they required to be soldered? Or, is there a way to connect them to the cold/hot water lines without soldering? Thanks a lot.

You might need to upgrade the valves which the tubes attach to. A plumber can surely assist.

do i have to connect the sprayer

am installing faucet and wife wants to use a soap dispenser instead of sprayer. Do I need to do anything other than leave sprayer connection alone?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 400-DST-L is equipped with a cap so that the consumer has a choice of using the sprayer or not using the sprayer. Just make sure the cap is in place before turning on the water.
