It is true that the pull out spray nozzle does need a good tug, but because the nozzle already is well into the sink I don't need to pull it out often. Easy to adjust water force and hot/cold. So happy with my choice.

Also the pull out spout is very easy to use contrary to many of the reviews I read. The spray function does not click off to stream once you turn off the water which I would have liked, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from great look and spray feature/ frustrating design I have bought many Delta faucets over the years and have always been happy. This one looks great and has great spray feature, but lacks in design. The pull out feature is very hard to properly dock in the holder and is even harder to pull out. If it is pushed in all the way, it pulls the entire top of faucet off when trying to pull back out. We have begun just barely pushing it in so it can be used, but it droops and sometimes falls out in the sink. I am not sure if there is a way to lube the docking area or what, but it has been a very disappointing function overall.

Sprayer option is handy would be a 5 star but sometimes the hose kinks if twisting to far. otherwise very happy with this purchase and finished off my new kitchen nicely :)

It also wasn't the most ideal style for us as we have to wash dishes by hand, and our dish drainer sits in the double sink. Still getting used to the built in sprayer (a bit splashy if we have full water flow; our sink is only 7" deep). But, well constructed faucet and works really well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful design-poor engineering and construction I have had this faucet about 3 years and have had issues for the past 2 1/2+. Because of the plastic docking system, it has become extremely difficult to secure the faucet head into a secure position. If I do manage to get the head secured, it becomes near impossible to remove it. In fact, last week, I did get it to secure and upon trying to remove the head, it stuck so badly that the entire top portion separated and now will not secure back in. I am very disappointed in this faucet fore I have used Delta for years and have had very few problems in the past.

The spray vs stream button works great. The handle operation is smooth and it's easy to control the flow. Love the curved lines on it. Hose pulls out and retracts smoothly when I need to use it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality The pull-out sticks and is difficult to use. The spray holes are so small when you turn it on it goes everywhere. The securing gasket for the water line easily comes undone (causing water to flood all over and, in my case, into the floor and lower level ceiling). It looks nice but is barely functional. Disappointing.

I love the fact that it comes with a limited lifetime warranty and also that parts are readily available when necessary. My plumber highly recommended Delta faucets, and I am so glad he did.

I had it installed for a right handed person but now almost wish it would have been left handed. If you have your glass in your right hand you have to reach across to turn the water on.

For 2 1/2 of those years we have been unable to slide the nozzle back into the mounted part of the faucet for fear of not being able to get it back out or breaking it. The O rings failed after having it for a little over 6 months. We finally found some to replace them, and have had to a couple of other times since, but that’s when the problems with replacing the nozzle started. We have also had problems with the metal piece at the top of the hose coming loose and leaking into our under sink cabinet. I would like to know how these problems can be resolved, because I love the looks of the faucet. It is just the look I wanted for my newly remodeled kitchen, and we’re very happy with the quality and the way it works other than the problems mentioned above.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful faucet but falling apart I had an extensive kitchen remodel done a couple of years ago, and selected this faucet based on its style and functionality. The sprayer does not fit snuggly to the base. In addition, an O-ring in the sprayer failed within the first month and a replacement sprayer was provided. Recently, one of the supply lines started to leak which caused extensive damage to the interior of the custom cabinetry as well as the flooring near the sink. The leak was not discovered until I noticed water dripping from the basement ceiling. This is very disappointing considering the cost of the faucet and now the added costs to cover the water damage.

Hot/Cold lever seems backward

We just built our new home and had this faucet installed. I love the classy look and cross handles we chose; however the lever that controls the hot and cold seems backwards to me. When it is lying down toward me, I can see the letter "C". I would assume this means "Cold" but when I turn it on in that position the water is hot. Vice versa the other way. My husband checked the water lines and they are connected blue to cold and red to hot so that is not the issue. Is this just how the lever is designed?

I'm very interested in your model # 4197 PN-DST in Polished nickel. According to the little youtube video on this page, this model comes in 4 colors and the polished nickel is NOT one of them. So is the video correct, or can I order it in Polished Nickel?

on CASSIDY 4197-C2-DST , how do you replace the valve cylinder, once you have the handle removed? what holds the valve in place? Any special tools needed?

Once the handle of the Delta Cassidy Pull-Out Kitchen 4197-CZ-DST faucet is removed, you would remove the cap and unscrew the bonnet nut from around the the valve cartridge. Then, the valve cartridge can be pull right out of the valve body. Best regards, Tanya

Is there a larger size escutcheon available for this model?

I am mounting this faucet on a vintage cast sink with previously a 3 hole mount faucet. The area has some discoloration I am trying to cover. I purchased a RP714545 escutcheon but it is a little short for the coverage area I need. Is there a larger one that is compatible?

We installed a Cassidy faucet it our Kitchen and love the color (Chrome) however it is very difficult to pull out the sprayer and return it??? Can you give me some things to check, I really don't want to return it, I just want it to function correctly.

I have the same problem. I can’t put the handle back into the base all the way without shoving it in and same with pulling it out. This is a very expensive faucet and should work better than this. I have settled with it being put only part way in because I’m afraid all the pressure will break the faucet. Now it looks dumb.

What is the distance from the base to the top of the handle?
