The style of this fixture is modern with a hint of old classic. I can’t rave enough about the finish!!!! A simple wipe with a dish cloth or paper towel keeps it so clean, and there are no water stains, even after over a month of use. We love this sink fixture, and all that it has to offer!

I am comparing this to the Broderick Faucet. Looking at the specs of these using a comparison tool on another site (build.com) it states the Broderick Faucet is made with Brass and this is made with Zinc. Is that correct?

Thank you for your question, Sissy! Due to legislation and new technology, the design of our faucets, as well as many of our competitors has changed over the years. Model 9197-PN-PR-DST has metallic components and non-metallic components. Almost every faucet is going to have some plastic components. Our PEX tubing doesn't bend,kink or freeze like copper lines can. All of our wand assemblies and veggie sprayers are non-metallic, due to the metal does conduct heat which can increase the risk of scalding. Best Regards, Benjamin

What is the difference between faucet #9178 and #9197

Hello Tom64, Thank you for reaching out to Delta Faucet Company! The difference between our 9178-DST and 9197-DST is the design and the technical specifications. Both faucets use PEX tubing and will use a different type of cartridge. The 9178-DST will rotate away from the faucet, rotate back for hot, and rotate forward for cold. Son called and said water was in cabinet below kitchen faucet (9197-cz-dst). Under the faucet I noticed water running down the faucet supply lines. It was bought in 2017. Is it in need of a new cartridge? You grease cartridge seals on install?

My aerator on my faucet head is not working like it used to.  It needs to be cleaned?  What is the best approach to cleaning the head of the faucet?  Do I need to remove it to clean it?  How do I do that if so?

Hi Martha, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9197-AR-PR-DST. We recommend soaking the sprayer in 50/50 white vinegar and water, let sit for 30-60 minutes, then rinse. Repeat as needed. Also, the sprayer can be unscrewed from the hose. Secure the hose to avoid it retracting and clean any debris trapped at the back of the sprayer. Since installation, the water pressure for both hot and cold water has been low and insufficient in this faucet. Is there a way to increase the water pressure for this faucet. D919CZPRDST. There was not a pressure issue with the replaced faucet.

Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Low flow is caused by a blockage or debris, we would recommend flushing the faucet to remove the blockage. Please shut water supplies off before starting this process, also grab a towel, and a bucket. Please follow the next set of instructions, which can also be found on page 7 of the maintenance and installation sheet. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/106557%20Rev%20C.pdf To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Do you make different mounting plates to are smaller or can extend? The hole is at the edge of the sink and the mounting plate cannot fit flat against the countertop

Will the faucet still work manually if the batteries wear out and are not replaced? Mine indicated batteries were weak so we changed them and now the faucet is not working at all. LED is not lit and no water will flow manually.

In 2016, we rebuilt our home after a fire. We chose the Delta Cassidy faucet for our kitchen. We notice it's a little harder to turn on and off lately. I was wondering if the cartridge needs to be replaced and if would be a warranty repair. Thx in advance

Hello Thomas! Thank you for contacting us at Delta Faucet! I will be happy to help! Before replacing the cartridge please be sure to always turn the water off at the shut-off valves under the sink. To remove the handle on your Delta Faucet Cassidy pull-down faucet model 9197-AR-PR-DST you will pry off the round cap on top of the handle to reveal a set screw. You will use a 1/8" Allen wrench to remove this screw. From there you can remove the contact spring, o-ring, and bonnet nut. Please see the following parts diagram in the link below. I was told by a builder rep that the Delta kitchen faucets sold at big box stores have different internal parts than those directly from Delta. Specifically Cassidy 9197-PR-DST. Is that true?

My Cassidy is about 4 years old. The touch function stopped working this morning. Batteries were replaced, and the light illuminates when touched, but no water comes out. Water does not come out when handle is activated either. how can this be reset?

Hi bryand66, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I'm sorry that you are experiencing no flow from your faucet and would be more than happy to help! No flow from the solenoid is typically caused by debris, which can get caught in a few different areas of the faucet. Please try the following steps so we can better assist you: We will first try a solenoid reset. 1. Unplug the battery box for 30 seconds. 2. Plug the battery pack back in and secure it 2 inches away from anything surrounding it. 3. Open the handle and tap the faucet to the off position. 4. If it is still not giving any flow, please proceed to the flushing process. To flush a solenoid, please gather a bucket, a couple of Q-Tips, and a few towels to continue. 1. Turn the handle to the off position. 2. Please clear the area under your sink and remove the blue or black clip on the bottom of the solenoid. 3. Once you remove the clip, grab a towel and place it under the connection. Gently pull the hose off. 4. Place the bucket under the solenoid and turn the handle to the open position and tap the faucet to turn it on. This will allow water to flow out of the hose into the bucket. Flush this for about a minute. 5. Turn it back off, reconnect the hose with the clip and remove the clip at the top of the solenoid. What is the correct replacement aerator for 9197-AR-DST ? Thank you

Hi Lou19, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! This model does not utilize a removeable aerator. If cleaning is necessary we recommend soaking the wand in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water and rinse well before using again. Please reach out with further questions!
