RESEÑAS
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks and Function in one Love the touch feature, nice smooth lines, reduced water pressure from last faucet
Date published: 2025-03-08
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Solenoid doesn't last 2 years I bought this faucet in 2018 and the solenoid has died every year or two since. Each replacement solenoid lasts a maximum of 2 years and now Delta says they won't replace it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT A FAN!! I was excited about the On/Off Activation but in reality it is terrible. It often randomly turns off when in use. (I imagine from water splashing up and "touching" it off.) The pressure is also not good at all. Then the battery dies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faucet Fixation I love my new faucet & hope it continues to perform longer than the 7 months our former Lowe’s products were lasting.
Date published: 2023-12-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Faucet Complete failure after four years. I had several issues with this faucet: 1. it ate batteries like crazy; 2. the magnets rusted out; 3. the touch feature finally stopped working; 4. and now the mounting base and screw rod completely rusted out and broke. At this point, the faucet is useless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible terrible terrible Multiple issues with ghosting, solenoid, etc. not worth it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Set and Forget This kitchen faucet is the "touch" type. My husband insisted on being technologically forward, so I went ahead and purchased this. It has taken a little bit of getting used to, but, all in all, it is an adequate faucet for my daily needs. The water stream seems to come from different places on the faucet head depending on when I use it. It's not a bothersome feature, just one that leads me to ask the question, "Why?" It does work as advertised. Touching the faucet with the back of my hand or grabbing the handle turns the faucet on and off. Grabbing the faucet will not. This is pretty sophisticated engineering from my perspective, and I am very satisfied with it. The only reason that I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is the fact that one must "set" the faucet handle in order to use the touch feature. I don't know how this can be engineered differently, and I think I would have been just as happy with this faucet if it were operated only by the handle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great customer service This Cassidy faucet came with a newly remodeled home we purchased so likely a brand new faucet. After nearly 6 years, the head of the hose would not spring back into position and was just hanging. I called Cust Svc and did not have to wait long on hold. They sent me a new part that was easy to install and problem solved. About a year later, the touch feature was not working right. Sometimes touching would not turn on. We changed the batteries but still having trouble. I called Cust service again and they walked me through disconnecting the sensor box under the sink and are sending me a new one. In the meantime, I can use the sauce without it. Very happy that they were so helpful, I didn't have to wait on hold at all, and are sending free replacement parts. The 4 star is for the device having so many issues. But they make up for it by having great Cust service. and free replacement parts.

The water pressure has become terrible. Any trouble shooting ideas? Only place in the house with bad pressure

Asked by: Scott
Hi Scott, Thank you for contacting us about the low flow issue you are having with your Delta Faucet Cassidy™ Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Chrome MODEL#: 9197T-DST, Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. The low flow you are experiencing appears to be caused by debris within the faucet and solenoid assembly. We recommend doing a flush on your electronic components. I would like you to keep the handle in the center full-on position, then remove the wand. Hold the hose, so it does not fall back into the faucet, then point the hose into the sink. Next, I would like you to turn the faucet on by touch for 40 seconds. Then shut the faucet off by touch and back on for another 40 seconds. Then hold the handle and move it off and then back on without letting go for another 40 seconds. Once this has been done, please re-install the wand and check for leaking. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Sincerely, Nicole

What does lumicoat artic stainless finish mean? Is this similar to brushed nickel?

Asked by: linda123
Hello linda123, Thank you for your question! We apologize that the information you are searching for was not readily available and I am happy to assist you! We thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. The Delta Faucet model 9197T-AR-PR-DST Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies Lumicoat Arctic Stainless Steel finish is a close match to brushed nickel but is closest to the color of a stainless steel sink. The Lumicoat finish easily wipes clean with just a soft, damp cloth: no cleaners or chemicals necessary, has an ultra-sleek surface that repels liquids, resisting water spots and staying cleaner longer, is guaranteed to resist mineral buildup and hard water stains, does not alter the look of the exiting finish, and does not affect Touch technology. Please contact us back directly via email with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

Water barely flows through the faucet

Asked by: DocXav
Hello DocXav! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help! We recommend flushing the faucet to remove any build-up or debris in the supply lines. Below are instructions on how to do so: Flush From Under Deck Delta Faucet Company would prefer the faucet is flushed below the deck. This prevents improper re-installation of the wand or aerator. When the above deck techniques are insufficient, flushing below the deck is an easy alternative. 1. Place a large bucket or stock pot under the sink. 2. Disconnect the line from the valve to the spout. 3. Move the handle to the full on, mixed position. (1) 4. Point the valve end of the line into the bucket/pot. 5. Shut off the handle (1) after a few gallons. 6. Reconnect the spout line to the valve. This will prevent debris from being lodged in the hose and sprayer. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Best Regards, Carrie

I have an 9197T-RB-DST in my kitchen. I'm having a problem with getting water pressure. Sometimes I will have full pressure and then it will go to a small stream of water. Do you have any suggestions? Is there a part that would need to be replace

Asked by: Maureen
Hi Maureen, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue with your CASSIDY® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies MODEL#: 9197T-RB-DST. Keep the handle in the off position. Remove the clip that is attached to the braided hose on the bottom of the solenoid. After the hose is removed, place a bucket under the solenoid, and then open the handle. It's helpful to have someone control the handle while the other person is in the cabinet with the bucket. We would also advise flushing the hot and cold lines. 1. Please be sure to turn the water supply off before beginning this process. 2. Move the handle to the full mixed position. 3. Disconnect the faucet supply line from the hot side. 4. Position a bucket with the supply line connection inside the bucket. 5. Turn on the supply stop on the connected supply line side slowly, directing the water from the disconnected side into the bucket. 6. Reconnect the supply line. *Please use caution when flushing the hot water.* You'll want to repeat steps 1-6 for the cold side. Once you've done the flushing, you can turn the water supply back on to the faucet. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist

How do I remove the solenoid from Cassidy 9197T-DST? Please do not email a response to a link for a page that doesn’t exist.I want only manual, no touch (since it won’t work)

Asked by: Carol55
Hello Carol55, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! The only way to make our Delta touch models manual is to remove the battery box from the solenoid while the water is running. There are a couple more ways we can advise to make them manual, If the faucet is a later generation, the solenoid assembly may be removed, and the wand hose connected directly to the valve outlet tube. Lastly, If the solenoid Generation 1 or 2, and operational enough, we can directly energize it open. These directions are in the M&Is, using the battery pack to reverse the power to the solenoid momentarily. This is the least preferred method. Please contact us back for any further questions. Asked by: John
Hello John, Thank you for your question. We are sorry to hear your faucet has low flow. We are happy to help! We would recommend checking the flow of the Delta 9197T-DST faucet with the spray head or solenoid removed to check if they are causing the issue. Next, flush the supply lines and valve. To flush the unit, turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. If the issue remains, replace the valve cartridge RP73000 for models produced after 1/1/2018. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best regards, Bryan

I have a Delta Cassidy single handle Sprayer Kitchen Faucet. How do I get the handle off to replace the cartridge?

Asked by: Thomas
Hello Thomas! Thank you for contacting us at Delta Faucet! I will be happy to help! Before replacing the cartridge please be sure to always turn the water off at the shut-off valves under the sink. To remove the handle on your Delta Faucet Cassidy pull-down faucet model 9197-AR-PR-DST you will pry off the round cap on top of the handle to reveal a set screw. You will use a 1/8" Allen wrench to remove this screw. From there you can remove the contact spring, o-ring, and bonnet nut. Please see the following parts diagram in the link below. Please contact us directly if further assistance is needed at this time. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-K-9197T-DST.pdf Best Regards, Tim

My Cassidy one-touch has worked well for 5 years. Now the one-touch does not work if the water is hot. It works fine if the water is cold. I have replaced the batteries with no success. Bought in 2016. Is it under warranty? How do I fix it?

Asked by: Wendy
Hi Wendy, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with your Cassidy™ Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Chrome MODEL#: 9197T-DST. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. The low flow you are experiencing appears to be caused by debris within the solenoid assembly. We recommend doing a flush on your electronic components. Please follow the below steps to resolve your drip: 1. Put the handle in the off position. 2. Remove the blue clip that is attached to the top of the solenoid assembly below the sink. 3. Pull the solenoid off of the faucet connection. Remove the debris screen in the top connection if able, and clear any debris with tweezers or a q-tip. 4. Set a bucket under the PEX supply line that is exposed. 5. Place the handle in the on position and allow it to run water for 2 full minutes. This will clear the supply line out of any debris. 6. Put the handle back into the off position. 7. Reconnect the solenoid to the faucet and clip it back into place. 8. Now remove the bottom clip from the solenoid where the hose connects and pull the hose off. 9. Turn the water back on for an additional 2 minutes to clear the solenoid assembly of any remaining debris. 10. Reconnect the hose and clip it into place again. Once that is finished, turn the water onto the faucet and run it for 15 seconds. Lastly, I would like you to keep the handle in the center full-on position, then remove the wand. Once this has been done, please re-install the wand and check the flow. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Hi. We have this faucet in our kitchen. We are replacing batteries very often. Can we use all the functions of the faucet without the batteries in place? Meaning, can it all be used with just electric plug? And if so where can I buy the plug? Don't have it

Asked by: cath
Hi cath, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The 9197T-AR-DST does have an AC adapter option, EP102157. If the batteries are going dead too fast, there is probably some interference. Interference can be isolated for better operation with your touch faucet. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Delta Model 9197T-AR-PR-DST. The flow rate of 1.8 gpm is horrible. what can be done about that?

Asked by: Terry
Hello Terry, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. Identify which supply line is blocked by turning off a supply at the stop and observing flow when the handle is moved to the full mixed position. Then repeat for other side. Shut off both supplies. Move the handle to the full mixed position. Disconnect the faucet supply line from the reduced flow side. Position a bucket with the reduced flow side supply line connection inside the bucket. Turn on the supply stop on the connected supply line side slowly, directing the water from the disconnected side into the bucket. *Use caution if this is hot water you have turned on* Leave this flowing for at least 10 seconds. Reconnect the supply line following the installation instructions Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Nicole

Has Delta made an aerator replacement for this model? Surely I don’t have to replace a $125 head assembly for a 4 dollar part.

Asked by: RLayne
Hi RLayne, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Unfortunately, the Cassidy® Wand Assembly-ShieldSpray MODEL#: RP90839RB does not have a replaceable aerator assembly. If an aerator is needed, we recommend replacing the whole sprayer assembly. The sprayer assembly is part number RP72680RB or RP90839RB with ShieldSpray Technology Spray Setting. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist
