IS THERE AN EXTENSION KIT FOR THIS VALVE?

Asked by: MO
Hi MO, Thank you for your question. We do not have an extension kit for this valve. The maximum deck thickness is 2 1/2". In a Standard Installation, this includes the complete mounting surface. In a Thick-Tile Installation, this does not include the plywood underlayment. I have a Peerless Roman Tub trim kit (PTT298696) that recommends the Delta R2700 rough in. I'd like to confirm that's correct (verses R2707 or something else). I'm also interested in adding a hand shower. What's the best rough in for my application?

Asked by: Brad
Thank you for your inquiry, Brad! The PTT298696 will work with either R2707 or the R2700 valve body assembly. However, these valve do not have hand shower connections, you would need to install a transfer valve with hand shower such as a Delta RP14979 or RP33791 model. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R2700 https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R2707 Best regards, Tanya

Does the two handle flexible mount rough in R2707 work with a Roman tub hand shower trim T4738 if we do not plan to use the hand shower?

Asked by: Robert
Hello Robert, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the Delta Lahara Roman Tub Trim kit T4738 can be used with the Roman Tub Rough-In Valve R2707 without attaching the hand shower. However, the lift rod in the top of the spout will not be connected to anything. Best regards, Tanya

I won't be installing the spout in between the two handles (spout's in the corner of the tub, handles on the outside edge). Is there any reason I can't install the handles closer together than 8" as long as there's enough clearance for the levers?

Asked by: John98391
Hello! Thank you for your question. We advise of the 8" minimum installation centers so that the supply lines have enough room under the deck. Best Regards, Rosanna

When can I solder the R2707 connections?

I need to install the R2707 from the side of the deck which makes soldering the connections after everything is installed next to impossible. Is it possible to solder all the connections (including 1/2" male adapters for braided supply lines) outside of the deck and then install the entire assembly following the finished deck instructions? Of course connecting the braided supply lines would be the last step.
Asked by: bvendt
Hi bvendt, Thank you for your question. The connections could be soldered before installing the valve into the tub, as long as the end valves are the correct distance apart, level, and oriented correctly. You would then remove the top washers, slide the entire assembly up through the deck, reattach the top washer, and tighten the jack screws. Thanks, Jon

Can R2707 rough-in valve set be installed over more than a 16" span?

We want to change our our Roman tub fixtures to the Delta Dryden set to match the rest of our bathroom fixtures. The R2707 rough-in valve set is spec'd for the Dryden fixtures; however, our current installation spans more than the 16" maximum called out in the R2707 installation instructions that I read online. Our tub set is installed with the supply valves on the front ledge of the tub, while the spout is located on the other side of the tub (see included photo). Can this rough-in assembly still be used in our configuration? If not, what do you suggest? Thank you for your assistance.
Asked by: Lee
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R2707 has a normal range of 8-16 inches. However, you are able to use it longer than 16 inches with the knowledge that you will need extra hosing and plumbing that is not provided by us.

I purchased this kit, Delta Faucet Roman Tub Rough-In Valve. Is there a way to reverse the on and off positions without switching the entire value? The off position places the two handles back to back on the inside.

Asked by: Steve
Thank you for your question, Steve! The stem unit assemblies used on the R2707 rough-in valve can be oriented to allow the handles to turn alternatively. The flat portion of the stem assembly will need to continue facing outward, however the raised portions, or "Stops" can be switched to the opposite side to accomplish this. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-B-R2707_A.pdf Best regards, Edward

Our Delta Innovations Roman Tub faucet is deck mounted on a whirlpool tub. We want to re-use the faucet trim but refresh all the internal parts as we put in a new tub and deck. Will the Innovations faucet work with the R2707 and new stem parts, etc?

Asked by: Fran L

I am installing the R2707 kit in the deck for my new tub. Here's my question. The top of the deck is not tiled yet. Do I install the valve kit now and tighten/secure it to the unfinished (plywood w/backer board layer) or wait till tile is complete?

Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question, Bill! Please refer to the Installation Instructions linked below. There are two ways to install this valve. A Standard Installation (see pages 3-4) would be used if the finished deck is 2 1/2" thick or less. For this type of installation, the valve is installed to the finished deck surface. The Thick Tile Installation (pages 5-6) should be used for surfaces 2 1/2" thick excluding the plywood underlayment. For this type of installation, the valve should be mounted prior to the installation of the tile. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00080163_C.pdf Best regards, Jon

Asked by: Fran L
Thank you for your question, Fran L! Yes, the same R2707 valve is used with both models 2730-CB (trim and valve) and the T2730 (trim kit only). The "T" in front of the model number stands for Trim kit. Best regards, Tanya

Can Delta roman tub faucets and spouts specified for a R2707 rough-in valve be used in an existing R2700 valve application?
