Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Faucet- Bad supply line design Purchased this faucet and installed about a year ago on bathroom remodel. I installed per the directions as I have done on numerous other faucets. 2 weeks ago I woke up at 3:15 am to hear water flowing in my downstairs. Came downstairs and bathroom, bedroom, computer room, kitchen and back addition were flooded and went through into basement flooding that. I immediately checked the bathroom to find the hot side supply line had pulled out of the valve. Why not have a line that just screws onto the valve instead of a plastic line and plastic compression fitting?. I believe from expansion and contraction of hot water over time it came out. I will be getting rid of this faucet a going with another brand that has screw in lines. Already cost me thousands in damage upstairs and in basement. Bathroom in basement ceiling caved in and everything had to be ripped out.

There’s a black plastic piece that delta claims should fit inside the faucet but does not and can not physically fit inside . It shows on all of them when installed. It does not show this in any of the photos online and it makes the faucet looks cheap.

does your matte black finish require any special care?

The sink has a slow water draining problem, how can you remove the plunger to inspect the sink drain? It does not seem to unscrew or have any sort of release..??

Hi, UrlBa! Thank you for your question. The stopper on the drain assembly for the Delta 3559-BLMPU-DST can be removed by first unscrewing the pivot seal and gasket from the drain pipe. Unscrew the nut from the strap. Remove the horizontal rod. The stopper can now be removed from the top of the sink. Hi there!  The specs on the 3559 Trinsic bathroom sink faucet say a minimum 2.5" clearance from center of faucet hole to backsplash.  I would have closer to 2-and-1/8" clearance.  Please, what would be the downside of not having at least 2.5" clearance?

Do the matte black faucets have to have the red and blue dots on them or are those optional? Many of them completely ruin the design.

I don't have the 2.5 inches clearance to backsplach. More like 1.5 inches. Is there another plug I can substitute (chrome) that does not require a drain pull lever? Or does Delta make widespread faucets requiring less clearance?

We are having an issue getting the handles to sit flush on the base.  It seems like they won’t push down completely leaving a visible gap btw the bottom of the handle & base. We received a replacement set of handles, but has same result. Help!

Does the handle have 2-finishes?

It appears from the pictures that there are 2 finishes - almost a matte finish around the temperature dot -- or is it solid polished chrome?

Wanting to replace older Delta tub faucet from 2003 with this Trinsic faucet to match other bathroom hardware upgrades. Will this just fit in place?

Is the Stainless in the 3559 the same as the Arctic Stainless in the 9159?

What is the diameter of the cap at the base of the handles? We are replacing a faucet that has a 2 1/4 inch cap so it nees to be at least that size or larger.

I have the Trinsic bath faucet (Model #3559-MPU-DST) and wonder if the Lahara tub filler trim (Model #T2738) will work with the Trinsic valve

When I install the lift rod and strap, the strap is tight against the nut/wrench assembly from the faucet install. So tight it prevents lifting/lowering the lift rod. Essentially same w/ wrench removed, the faucet bolt in the way. What am I doing wrong??

Thank you for your question, Anthony! I'm sorry for any confusion and we would be happy to help. The pivot nut must be hand-tight only. If this is too tight, it will apply too much pressure against the gasket inside, causing the lift rod to hit the back of the tail piece. Try loosening the nut until the rod moves freely and please know it is normal to see some exposed threading in this area. Best regards, Edward
