There is a line on the side of the spout or looks like a line. I want to avoid a faucet that can collect toothpaste, etc. in any design.

Is there a way to adjust the motion sensitivity of this faucet?

I would like to extend the motion sensitivity of the faucet by a couple of inches. The water shuts off when people are soaping their hands and then takes a couple more waves of the hand (sometimes more) to get it flowing again. If the proximity can't be adjusted, can the motion sense be shut off completely so it becomes a touch faucet? thanks!

Why is supplied pop up needed?

I'd rather not pull apart the plumbing under my sink. The installation manual says that the supplied pop up is required for proper function. Why?

Re-activate Sensor on 538T-SS-DST

How do you re-activate the sensor on the 538T-SS-DST? It appears the sensor was accidentally de-activated, however, I cannot find re-activating instructions. I tried the same de-activating instructions to 'undo' the procedure and the light flashes blue and red but the sensor still does not work. Removed and re-installed the batteries and it does not re-activate the sensor. The batteries are fully functional as displayed by the strong blue light. The faucet works fine when it is physically touched to start and stop the water flow. I have two of these faucets that were professionally installed at the same time and the other faucet is working ok.

Hi Dave, You may delete the "Re-activate Sensor on 538T-SS-DST" question in its entirety. After several attempts, I was able to re-activate the sensor feature using the same de-activating procedures. I do however recommend the "Quick Tips" instructions which state the procedures for the sensor that came with the faucet be added to your website. I finally found my hard copy of these "Quick Tips" but would have been helpful if the website had them available. Thanks.

What is the difference in designation of the Lahara 538T-DST and the Lahara 538MPU-DST?

manual function

Can this faucet turn on manually. I am considering purchasing it for my mom's bathroom. She has Alzheimer's and I want to make sure she does not leave the faucet running all day.

Hi Delta Fan, Thank you for your question. You can place the model 538T-RB-DST in manual mode by turning the faucet on and with the water running disconnect the battery pack. If the faucet is left on in the Touch mode it will only run for 1 minute with no activity before shutting itself off. Thanks, Dave

Will this faucet work with a recirculating hot water pump?

We just installed the Lahara with Touch2O.xt® Technology. While liking the feature of the water starting with the proximity sensor, we find the water turns off very quickly. I would estimate 5 seconds. Certainly not enough time. Any solution?

Follow the instructions below to shut off the proximity feature of the Touch2O.xt® faucets. 1 Put the handle in the off position. 2 Wait 10 seconds 3 Tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds. 4 Notice the indicator light in the faucet base flashes red & blue 5 As soon as the light stops flashing, tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds. 6 The indicator light in the faucet base will flash red & blue again. Proximity mode is now off. Hi... can you please explain what you mean by "place hands near faucet"? We just installed a Lahara faucet in our bathroom (538T-SS-DST). It works when we touch it, however, not when we put our hands near it. Do you mean under the faucet, or where?

A 4″ sensing field around the faucet allows the entire faucet to act as a sensor for easy activation. follow the instructions below to turn off/on the proximity feature of the Touch2o.xt faucets. Put the handle in the off position Wait 5 seconds Tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds. Notice the light flashes red & blue As soon as the light stops flashing, tap the spout 6 times within 4 seconds. Prox mode is now off. To turn on, use same steps as above.
