It hasn't been used for about 3 months now it leaks more heavily. I had to position the diverter to get it to stop leaking but now that doesn't work! I'm going to purchase a new valve to see if that works. I should have stuck with Brizo which are in my other bathrooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1.7 GPM feels like 2-2.5 GPM I was skeptical about this product due to the minimal number of holes on the showerhead. Let me tell you, the engineering on this shower head isnt just a gimmick. I used to have a 9" rain head. This thing feels much better than what i used to have (and that one put out 2.5 GPM). The finish is quite nice. I chose black. Doesnt look like it will scratch easily or tarnish, but time will tell. I have never had any issues with any of my Delta products in the past, and i dont foresee any issues with this one considering that this is more premium than my previous Delta products.

Keep in mind that a competent, literate, licensed plumber should complete the rough-in. That will prevent some "problems" others have reported. The quality and finish are great, intuitive to install and use.

I like how it looks, and it works fine, but I was hoping for more water pressure -- in the want especially. You can barely spray the walls with the hose to get soap or cleaner off, as the water pressure isn't the match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It must suck as a company to deal with poor reviews from people who have either installed it incorrectly themselves or paid for improper installation. I've installed many of these and they work beautifully every time. Works great, pressure is good, ease off install is great. If you lack water pressure in your shower it is 99% likely to be an installation error in either the valve itself or the water lines leading up to it. Stop blaming the product and blame your contractor.

It's also got a hold setting so you can turn off the water and turn it back on at the same temp! Love the minimal aesthetic. Only complaint—the black shows hard water stains really easily, but the matte finish makes it worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Water Flow Restrictor*** I’m right behind most reviews on the poor water pressure. For anyone with a thin metal tip(like a knife) doesn’t need to be sharp and a needle can knock this out in under five minutes. Take the shower head off and you’ll see in the nozzle and metal screen. It’s surrounded and attached to this rubber ring. Careful not to hack at it but along the threads on the rubber ring use your tip to gently pull it up. Once you’ve done that you’ll see the blue valve which is ultimately the restrictor. But what you need to focus on is the black ring in the center. Get your needle and pop that sucker out. Very easy. Now you’ll see all those little hole that rubber ring was concealing. That’s your pressure problem. Be sure to put that rubber ring and screen in properly. Work the edges as you go around to make sure it’s back down with the threads. I hope this review reaches the others that paid big money for poor pressure. Good luck and enjoy that pressure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was Delta faithful, no more. I've had Delta fixtures for years, still have several in use in a 2nd home, no complaints until now! I purchased a new home that had these installed heads in all the bathrooms and they are without question the worst heads we've ever had! There is absolutely no water pressure, at best, they "spit!" (And one has a constant drip from the back of the head.) We know it's not the the water pressure in the home as one is in the same shower as a Delta handheld and it has normal pressure, as do all the other fixtures in the remaining bathrooms throughout the house. To add insult to injury a few are the stainless finish which is a nightmare to keep clean- everything shows- you'd never know they were all brand new as they old and discolored. So between the lack of follow up on a Delta warranty for a part in need of replacement in another home (extremely long hold times, no follow up after I replied to their email etc) and the poor function of these heads, I'm done with Delta. My husband asks daily when I'm going to replace them but given there are seven it is no small expense and I'm disgusted that I even have to do it.

The dual-function control levers are smooth and feel solid. (This system was installed by a plumber.) The Matte Black finish looks great and is holding up after 6 months.

Plenty of hot water and pressure elsewhere in our new home but not in master bath. Love the look but function is not there. We wasted hundreds of $s on what we were told was an excellent fixture. If there is a fix I would love for Delta to post it.

Can't return it since it's been installed, so now I get to deal with Delta and see if they will honor the warranty.

Started opening the fixtures and noticed the bath filler is plastic and has already arrived chipped. Also, the color finish from item to item (even items boxed together) varied. Some were darker than others, while some looked chrome. Not impressed at all by this set. We did return and are exploring different brands. I can not speak for usage as we did not install. I can only speak in first impressions.

Hi, m5f5! Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17259 Shower temperature cap assembly does snap back into place. Simply push the cap straight on the temperature knob by hand. No tools required. Best Regards, Rosanna

i want to adjust my water temp whenever i want to. turn it up turn it down, is this not possible with this style trinsic.? furnishing a whole new house and would like to get all the same products for lots of reason. delta shower valves alread installed

I want to purchase the Monitor 17 Series T17259 Shower Faucet Trim plus R10000-UNBX, Compel Premium handshower (55085) and wall elbow (50560). What else do I require? I do not understand earlier response re R11000 or T11859. Do I need both?

Hello Faye, Thank you for your question. Yes, you would need the Diverter Rough-In Valve R11000 and the matching Trinsic 3-Setting Diverter Trim Kit T11859 to complete your shower installation. The diverter unit will allow you to switch between the shower head and hand shower individually as well as a shared setting. Best regards, Tanya

What does the button labeled OFF control? It shows in the picture but there is not explanation of what it does.

Hi Barb, Thank you for your question. The model T17259 has the words off and on etched onto the round escutcheon, but no off button. The on/off are showing the handle location relative to the water flow. Thanks, Dave

temperature &amp; volume control relationship

I have 2 showers with T17259 shower controls and they both work the same. If the volume control is turned down, the temperature gets colder and can't be maintained hot enough no matter what the temperature lever is set to. If the volume is set close to full on it works fine. The safety temperature limit is turned up all the way on both of these. What can be done about this?

My Trinsic shower gets very little hot water flow

Brand new shower and no one want to use it because the water doesn't get hot enough. My plumber has adjusted the cartridge as much as he can. What can I do?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17259 contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop.
