I love things that work well and stand the test of time, whether it's a good saddle or, in this case, a good shower. We recently put in this Delta Trinsic Monitor 17 Series shower trim, and I thought I'd share my thoughts, especially since it's the H2Okinetic one in matte black. First off, let's talk about the look. That matte black finish is something. It's got a quiet sort of elegance to it, if that makes sense. It's not flashy, but it's certainly eye-catching in its own way. It feels modern without being cold, and it blends in nicely, not just shouting for attention. You know how some things just feel right in a space? This is like that. It's sleek and clean, which is a big plus when you're trying to keep things tidy around here. Now, onto the important part: how it works. This is the Monitor 17 Series, and what that means is it's supposed to keep the water temperature steady, even if someone flushes a toilet downstairs or turns on the washing machine. And I can tell you, it truly does. There's nothing worse than a sudden blast of cold or scalding hot water when you're trying to relax after a long day in the barn. With this, it's consistent, and that's a comfort you really appreciate. It just takes one worry off your mind. But the real standout for me, and I wasn't sure about this at first, is the H2Okinetic technology. They say it makes the water feel like more, even with less water. And you know what? They're right. It's not like your typical shower spray. It's got this full, drenching feeling, like the water is wrapping around you. It looks good, it performs reliably, and that H2Okinetic spray is a real game-changer. It's the kind of quality product that makes daily life a little bit easier and a little bit more comfortable. Sometimes it's the small improvements that make the biggest difference, and this is definitely one of them. If you're looking for a shower that's both stylish and truly functional, I'd recommend taking a look at this one. It's got my seal of approval.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great water pressure for thick hair! I am surprised! I have A LOT of thick curly hair. Water pressure is a MUST to get the soap out of my curls and this shower head works! It’s well built, heavy, not difficult to install, but take note that it is heavier than it looks. Also, the water that comes out is hotter than my old shower head.

It seems to be made very well, although I'm no expert, and time will tell but it feels like it is strong enough to last many years. My showers are quicker with this as well because the water comes out with more pressure than my previous one did. I have a lot of hair and it's so much faster and easier to rinse now. I'm so happy I chose this shower kit. It's perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made!! Very durable and a beautiful finish and slim design. If feels very sturdy. My absolutely love the finish it’s shiny and does not get finger prints. The it’s very durable and heavy feels great. I had the Plummer come to install it. I need some additional work before they can complete the install it but the Plummer said it’s easy and great design. He recommended I get that same fixtures for my other bathroom. The water pressure is amazing. I’m looking forward to using this great product.

The mentions said I would have to purchase the multi choice attachment separately, but it was sent with the product! I have not gotten it installed yet as I am having a plumber do it and they are a little booked out in my area, but I am absolutely thrilled with this system. The water pressure with this is superior, and with the multichoice, you can easily switch between finishes and fittings without having to cut into your wall once you have the fitting installed. The color look is great, very high end and luxe. Love the different options on the head! Highly recommend this brand and their fittings! Multichoice is 100% the way to go!

Will I be able to upgrade?

I currently have a series 1400 shower trim and I have a few questions: 1- will I be able to upgrade to the trinsic 17 series without digging up our tile wall to change the valve? 2- is there a tub facet that will match this set? Thank you so much in advance!

Thank you for your question. If you have a multi-choice valve in your wall with the 1400 series you have now, then you will be able to upgrade to the 1700 Trinsic series. However, if your valve is not a multi-choice valve(Delta Faucet model R10000), then you will not be able to upgrade to the 1700 series without replacing the valve. Trinsic does offer a 1400 series tub and shower which is model # T14459 and a 1700 series tub and shower which is model # T17459. There is not a tub only available model in either level.

I just installed this and noticed the water is not heating well. The hot side of the valve is correctly installed and I removed the shower stop ring so that the water control can go as hot as possible. still luke warm compared to the hot faucet. Help!

Hello MattF, Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic Shower T17259-BL contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The limit stop should not be removed from the cartridge assemby. Hot water no longer coming out of the shower. Need help troubleshoot!!

Hello Cecilia, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17259 TRINSIC&reg; Monitor&reg; 17 Series H2Okinetic&reg; Shower Trim. I am sorry there is an issue with the hot water. We are happy to help! To troubleshoot, with the water supply off, remove the cartridge and the adapter behind the cartridge. Flush the hot and cold water supplies through the valve to check there is hot water getting to the valve and to clear any debris. If the pressure balance cylinder in the cartridge does not move freely, this could cause an issue. Clean mineral deposits from the cartridge and valve with 50/50 white vinegar and water, then reinstall the cartridge. If the issue remains and the temperature control knob is properly installed, the valve cartridge may need to be replaced. T17259. The On/Off valve (using the clock as a location), my handle is at the 5 o'clock position off, moving it to the 3 o'clock the water still does not turn on. When it reaches the 2 its half on, and 1 is max. Is this set correctly?

I've installed a 17 Series shower trim. The temperature control lever snaps on, as described in the instructions. How can I remove it (to adjust the temperature limits underneath) without breaking the snaps?

This was just installed and the handle is very stiff and squeaks. What adjustment can be made?

Hello Samsun79, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! I would loosen the screw a bit on the handle of our Delta T17259-BL, and the squeaking may be caused by debris. Debris can be removed by doing a flush of the valve, To flush the shower unit, please follow the following instructions: 1. Shut off water supplies. 2. Remove handles, sleeve, and bonnet nut. Pull out cartridge and adapter. 3. Flush the rough by shutting your shower door or curtain, then turning on both supplies for 30-45 seconds to blow out any debris that could cause a less than perfect seal. Shut supplies back off. 4. Reinsert the adapter pieces, then reinsert the cartridge. 5. Reassemble the parts, and turn supplies back on. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Our shower only has warm water. We have researched and know we have to make an adjustment in side the handle. How do we access the inside of the handle? The videos we watched say to &quot;pop off&quot; the handle but don't explain further.
