Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Trim Kit with Confusing Instructions Great trim kit the instructions are confusing. Section 4 “Trim Installation”, has two alternate steps, B-1 and B-2. This trim kit should follow B-2. My contractor followed B-1, and did not install the bracket, so the escutcheon did not have anything to secure to. I had to review the instructions with him, show him that the bracket is needed for step B-2 because the escutcheon does not have screw holes (as pictured in B-1). We had to remove all of the trim in order to install the bracket. I don’t know why the included instructions have the B-1 step because the escutcheon does not have screw holes and the bracket is required to secure the escutcheon to the valve body.

URGENT: MODEL#: T17289-CZ-PR Does the above package includes both the shower wand and trim? Please provide part numbers for the necessary rough-in valve and the wall mounted shower arm. Anything else required for "shower only" installation?

I was looking at the reviews of the Ashlyn line faucet, and reviewers mentioned that most of the parts were plastic.  Is this higher end line made of plastic or metal?  Thank you.

Hi Laura, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17489-BL. This faucet trim uses a mixture of metal and non-metallic materials. The included diverter tub spout is metal. Nonmetallic parts are used to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality product while maintaining safety control for the various temperatures of water that go through the product. With any hand shower, for example, the part that you would grab onto is typically made of plastic or a plastic mixture, as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion, and retains heat. We have a Trinsic shower head, can we replace it with Tetra

Hi PattyH, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17489-BL. The included showerhead can replace any of our showerheads. Our shower arms have a standard thread size. To use this trim kit, an R10000 MulitChoice valve should be installed. A Trinsic trim kit should have the required MultiChoice valve installed. Please reach out if you have any additional questions!
