Evidently it wasn't built for life because the internal components kept wearing out and had to be tightened. Is it brushed chrome

We have a Leland faucet.is the valve assembly the same thing as a cartridge?  The faucet drips unless it is in one exact location and my plumber said I need to cartridge.  Did not see that in your parts diagram
