Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks from shower head I just installed this and part of the water is diverted from the tub spout to the shower head. When I direct the water to the shower head, the tub spout seals as it should. It takes a long time to fill the bath tub when part of the water is diverted away from the tub spout. The installation instructions were not the best.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great look but missing tub parts Love the look of the faucet except the tub spout appears to be missing a part. The old tub spout just unscrewed from the brass adapter that is soldered to the copper pipe coming out of the wall. There is no way this spout will fit onto the adapter since there is no piece inside the new spout to screw onto the adapter. There are threads deep inside the new spout so now I have to call a plumber to get this installed or just return it to save money. I don't know why a newer spout wouldn't just fit .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No water pressure adjustment! This system in on or off! If I wasn't less pressure to wash my granddaughter or more to rinse soap out of my hair forget it! You turn it on and adjust the hotter water one direction and cooler the other. Thats it! I also have over 80 psi water press coming in. It slows it down so very much! I have their Ashley kitchen faucet with the same pressure restrictions. I actually take the head off the kitchen faucet if I need extra pressure?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Look, has leaked since day one This tub spout looks great, however in the 3 years that I have had it installed it has leaked from the down spout. I have made sure it was installed properly and it was, Delta needs to look at the design of this product or they should discontinue it.

what about the tub drain? do you have one that matches

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144984-OB has a couple of bath waste assemblies that are similar in color but not exactly the same color. There is Delta Faucet model # RP691RB which is a trip lever. There is also Delta Faucet model # RP693RB which is a toe operated drain. This finish is a Venetian Bronze and it will compliment the Oil Rubbed Bronze but it is not exactly the same.

Does the 144984 - OB use the spacer in the handle?

The faucet body, spout, and handle are metal. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown of the materials used. In general, metal parts are usually brass (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings), zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), or stainless steel (set screw, undercover plate). Is there an adjustment for water pressure??? I have very little.

Hello SteveO5878, Thank you for your question. The Delta Porter Tub and Shower 144984-OB model has one constant volume and the handle rotates to control the temperature. There is also a rotational limit stop on the cartridge that can be adjusted for hotter or colder temperature. You may want to check and flush the faucet of any debris or particles. What size is the set screw for the handle (rp47842)? It fell out and needs to be replaced.

When I turn my water off the water contines to run. Ive replaced the springs and seats. However the tubes with the o-rings (rp14414) remained in the mount. Is the unit broken or can I pull it out?

Hi, Jacks! Thank you for your question. There are two parts to the valve cartridge assembly, the top and bottom. If the bottom part of the cartridge is still in the valve body, please remove by taking two flat head screw drivers or butter knives and putting them into each side of the cartridge, between the inside of the valve, and work the cartridge out. Once the bottom of the cartridge is out, connect the two parts of the cartridge together. To reinstall this back into the valve, push the cartridge straight in. Do not twist the cartridge or the cartridge will separate again. If you should need anymore assistance, please contact us back. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have a delta fixture that says "Monitor" onthe bottom of the ring.It was installed in 1994.Will the 144984ob that I purchased hook up to it

Will I be able to mount this unit into the existing body

Hi Gene, Thank you for your question. In 1994 we had several different series of faucets that would have "Monitor" on the escutcheon. If your faucet has a single control that only controls the temperature, not the volume of the water and turns counter-clockwise to turn on and clockwise to turn off you can use the model 144984-OB trim with your existing rough in valve. The new faucet will come with a new cartridge. The new cartridge will not fit your existing rough in valve. You will have to continue to use your existing cartridge or order a new RP19804. If your current faucet offers a single handle that controls water volume, and a smaller knob at the end of the handle that controls water temperature you will have to replace the rough in valve to be able to use the 144984-OB. In the specs, it say says its Universal. Would the spout attach to a stub that is 1 in long?
