Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Shower Experience and Cleaner The Delta Tetra 17 series tub shower trim works great to help clean youself, pets, and the bathtub. I like this shower head because it gives out more water and the pressure is better than the shower head that was previously installed. The shower head is a lot bigger but cleans well and has different spray settings so you can find the comfortable one you like. I use the massage spray or the waterfall one which is good for different reason since the massage spray is great for after working out and the waterfall one is good for when I am fatigued. The best is you use 20% less water but performance is still great.

My toddler is excited because he can now spray off by holding the shower head instead of standing under the water on our old one that was affixed to the wall without the hose option. I recommend this product.

Will the T17089-PR fit the DELTA RP29827 renovation cover plate used to cover two holes left by previous two faucet unit? If not, is there a cover plate that will work with T17089-PR?

Can I do a simple replacement of the Delta Tub/Shower T13022 value (its over 20 yrs old) with a Delta MultiChoice Delta Tub/Shower T17089-PR valve and the Delta RP102060PCPR Diverter Tub Spout? From taking it apart it does not seem like it will work.

Hi Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! No, the older 1300 series valves are not compatible with our newer 1700 series trims. You can use our current 1300/1400 series tub/shower trims, however, the new cartridges that are included are not compatible with the older valves. The RP19804 will need to be purchased separately. How to adjust the water pressure for the 17 series? There isn't enough water pressure. It has two turn handles one for water pressure and one for hot cold water. T17089-SS-PR and the Delta Faucet R10000-UNBX MultiChoice Universal Tub and Shower Valve.

T17089SS-PR installation: Replacing 30 yr old Delta trim, keeping original cartridge. I installed the bracket over sleeve and O-ring. But the sleeve is too short (or cartridge too long), as control handle only slides so far up the cartridge. Help?

Hello sscsonia, Thank you for reaching out to Delta Faucet Company! To adjust your 1700 series temperature for hotter water, please follow the instructions below. You shouldn't need to shut your water off but keep in mind it is still possible for the water to turn on if the stem is rotated. You will need allen wrenches. 1. Remove the button under the temperature cap. You will then see a set screw that will also need to be removed. 2. Once this piece is removed, you will see a brass stem with splines. Remove the screw and the spline revealing the black "cog" piece. This is your Rotational Limit Stop and allows you to rotate it for your preferred temperature. 3. Please note If the max temperature is not achieved before the limit stop on the temperature knob meets the limit stop on the volume control handle: Remove the temperature control knob from the splines. Rotate the temperature control knob clockwise. Place the temperature control knob back onto the splines and continue to rotate counter-clockwise until the maximum desired temperature is achieved. Remove the temperature knob and place it back onto the splines, making sure that the temperature knob limit stop hits against the volume handle limit stop *Please note there is a limit of how far this will rotate, if you rotate to the hottest setting it will be the same temperature as your water heater. This is not recommended as it can cause scalding. (not more than 120° or the lower temperature mandated by your local plumbing code) You have rotated your temperature to receive hotter water! Turn your water on and see if this is your desired temperature. Please rotate the showerhead away from you so you do not get scalded while testing this. We appreciate your inquiry. How does this product in Matte Black withstand corrosion from hard water. I am considering having fixtures for my MB sinks, Roman tub and Shower in this line. What do you recommend for cleaning sinks around the fixtures as well as the fixtures themselves.

I was looking at the reviews of the Ashlyn line faucet, and reviewers mentioned that most of the parts were plastic.  Is this higher end line made of plastic or metal?  Thank you.

Hi Laura, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model T17489-BL. This faucet trim uses a mixture of metal and non-metallic materials. The included diverter tub spout is metal. Nonmetallic parts are used to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality product while maintaining safety control for the various temperatures of water that go through the product. With any hand shower, for example, the part that you would grab onto is typically made of plastic or a plastic mixture, as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion, and retains heat.
