Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk! Our faucet was purchased from HD, and within the first year, the magnetic mechanism broke twice. We had to replace the parts twice before finally after another “fight” and easily two hours on the telephone, they agreed to send a replacement faucet. They sent the wrong model and once again wasted more time on the phone with Delta. The supervisor we spoke with, was not very cordial and didn’t care how inconvenienced we were through this entire process. He couldn’t even schedule a home delivery pickup for the wrong faucet which was their fault! What kind of company does this???? In our opinion, his attitude and lack of regard to the paying customer was unacceptable and such that we will never buy another Delta product again. We also feel their quality has gone down hill like the customer service we received.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love it and Hate it I have a love/hate relationship with this faucet. I love the looks of the faucet and the functionality of the sprayer, but the cartridges absolutely stink. I have owned the faucet for approximately 1 year, and now have to replace the cartridge for the second time. The first occurred a few months after it was installed. It became extremely hard to move the handle and made a terrible creaking sound when you tried to move it. It also leaked at the handle. I called customer service and received a new cartridge quite quickly. The faucet was okay for a few months. This time, it began to leak from the faucet. We took it apart to flush it out and clean the cartridge, but it still leaks. The flushing process got water everywhere. I need to call customer service again for another cartridge Also, it’s almost impossible to get warm water. It is either super hot or cold and there is only a fraction of a millimeter of movement in the handle between the two. The mixer obviously needs improvement. We changed the position of the orange switch in the cartridge, but it will only give you warm and cold and NO hot at all. My family wants to get rid of it, but I still hold out hope that I’ll get a good cartridge that will fix my problem. Delta customer service is quite good, but until I get a cartridge that lasts and allows an easy transition to get hot, cold, and warm water, I can’t recommend this faucet to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible We bought this less than a year ago, it was fine until a month ago when the water pressure coming out is now super slow. We cleaned the spout thinking it possible could be calcium deposits however it is not the problem, it is definitely not a problem with the area water pressure, this issue is in the faucet. What is a bummer, I can’t return it the receipt and paper work was thrown out.

19978Z-SS-DST: Two buttons that toggle between modes have become sticky/difficult to operate; don't return to spray mode when the water is shut off. "Shield" around ShieldSpray is reduced. Top half of faucet is loose/wiggly. How to repair? Warranty issue?

I have this faucet, and for the last couple years I’ve had to soak the head in CLR every week because the head loses water pressure, but when I take the head off the water pressure is fine. Lately, I’m soaking it more than once a week. Any suggestions?

How do you remove the aerator for cleaning the Leland #19978Z-RB-DST kitchen pull-down faucet? Online research states a tool was included with the faucet. However, it was installed during a remodel and the contractor did not leave any parts with us.

We’ve had this less than a year, just recently the flow of water has deleted into something half the flow size.  We are frustrated!  It’s not due to calcium buildup, we rectified that issue. We do not have the receipt, I see why this model is discontinue

I've had this faucet for 3 years. Internal screen needs cleaning as amount of water pressure is low compared to other faucets and to how it previously flowed. How do I do this? Please advise

I'm sorry that you are experiencing low flow from your Delta Faucet LELAND® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With ShieldSpray® Technology In Venetian Bronze MODEL#: 19978Z-RB-DST. Reduced flow is typically caused by debris, which can get caught in a few different areas of the faucet. Please try the following steps so we can better assist you:  Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies.
