Rated 1 out of 5 by from 4 yr old expensive faucet LEAKS - Not recommended This faucet was purchased new in October 2019 through our contractor and installed by plumbing professionals in our newly rehabbed kitchen. In July, 2023, I noticed water damage under the sink where this faucet has been leaking for some time. After investigating further, I could see water leaking from the handles and faucet , over the deck and apparently under the deck where it pooled and dripped down onto the wood cabinet flooring under the sink area. The wood flooring of the cabinet under the sink is humped up from the water damage on our new custom kitchen cabinets ! Why should we pay for a plumber to repair the defective DELTA parts on an expensive 4 year old DELTA kitchen faucet?? We paid for a higher dollar DELTA product thinking it was a well made product with a good reputation and are VERY disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrating Features Why make a faucet that can't be adapted to a water filter?I need to filter for lead. Cat use any adapters with this style. Also why hide a screen that need ots own special tool to remove? If you lose it you're out of luck. And the tool is frustrating to use. If I knew about these features before having plumber install I would have not purchased.

I need to disconnect the spray hose. it is some kind of quick connect with two tabs

I think this a cassidy but I am not sure. The only info I can find is the number 413763 imprinted on the back of the faucet. Thank you.

Hi Trampus, Thank you for your question. To remove the hose on your faucet you will need to press in on the textured portion on the tabs on 2 sides of the white block connector. Once you have applied pressure, push up slightly and then pull the hose down off the fitting. Thanks, Dave

Delta 2497LF- What parts are non-metal? Is the sprayer head plastic? What is weight of product?

Hello Dave, Thank you for your question. The Delta Cassidy Kitchen 2497LF facuet has a weight of 5.35 lbs. Our faucets use either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. The spout assembly and the valve body is made of metal. Where is the spec for deck thickness?

I don't see the deck thickness that this and other Delta faucets are for. Is that information provided somewhere? I've noticed that many faucets with escutcheons are limited to one inch or thereabouts of countertop thickness.

Can this faucet be mounted without the base plate?

Because of the sink set-up I have to mount the faucet spout at the right, and both handles to the left of the spout.

How do i get the it aerator off the faucet due to the fact that it's recessed? Is there a special tool for this?

Water in Socorro NM is very hard. I am considering the Vessona with a ceramic valve or the Cassidy with the Diamond valve. What is your recommendation for long leak free service in an area with hard water? Thank you

smaller handle for side sprayer

the handle for the side sprayer is too large and uncomfortable for my wife. is there a different side sprayer that would coordinate with faucet with a smaller handle?
