RESEÑAS
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Faucet with Poor Durability For the most part the faucet is ok. The wand didn't last a full year before the buttons started to stop working properly. I tried descaling it thinking there might have been some gunk build up in the parts. That helped the flow a bit but after a few more months the buttons themselves stopped changing the water flow type to where the water came out using both flow types at once. For the price of this faucet (Artic Stainless) I would have expected the wand to be higher in quality and durability. No reason I should have to replace the wand after 12 months of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poorly constructed kitchen faucet Poorly constructed. Original and replacement leaked. I had to incur the expense of original installation and removal and replacement with different brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pluses and minuses Nice looking. Very difficult to find the “just right spot for warm water, it’s easy for just hot or just cold”. Hose for sprayer is too long so the weight on the bottom just sits on the bottom of the cabinet defeating its purpose of locking it back to the faucet. Sprayer is chintzy plastic. If I knew all that from the before installing I would have chosen something else. Do like the lower profile

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice faucet but Flow Switch is Cheap About a year after we bought it the flow switch stopped working, It Wouldn't switch back from spray to flow, so the only way to go back to flow is to turn it off and on. Now, about three years in, the flow switch is leaking water wildly, so it gets everything wet around the sink. Seemed well made when we bought it and maybe three years is the life of a faucet, but we had our former faucet for more than 10. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek Kitchen Faucet Beautiful faucet - clean and simple. Pull out faucet works smoothly. Very happy with purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice faucet, but awkward to turn off Nice faucet, but it takes some getting used to. With the handle on the right side, we thought it would work out well for the two of us who are right handed. Not so much. You have to operate it with your right hand while holding the glass, coffee pot, whatever, in the left hand. Feels awkward. Our biggest problem with it is that if you don't get the handle in exactly the right spot, you haven't turned it off and the faucet is still running. Sounds ridiculous, but we have left the water running numerous times in the past week. If we had it to do over, we would have had the plumber install it with the handle on the left. That would probably have worked better for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great faucet This faucet is everything I hoped. The stainless finish is perfect and the size and reach of the faucet is perfect for my sink.
Date published: 2023-07-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great faucet I love this faucet. The spray is just right and the power boost feature for regular flow is excellent for filling pans and washing up dishes. Plus the color is a deep bronze with flecks of copper that match my copper cookware.

Does this have the magnet that locks the sprayer in place like some of your other models?

Asked by: EddieR
Hello EddieR, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Linden Kitchen 4153-DST faucet does not have the MagnaTite docking feature for the wand/sprayer assembly. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-K-4153-DST.pdf Best regards, Tanya

We have difficulty getting the pull out sprayer to retract all the way into the handle. We frequently have to push it to get it to go in fully.

What can we do to make this easier?
Asked by: Sherry
Hi Sherry, Thank you for your question. The weight on the hose helps placing the wand back into place but does not retract the hose. It is normal to have to place the wand back into the spout to finish the connection. Please verify that the wand assembly hose is not getting hung up on other items below the sink. Thanks, Dave

Are your products nickel-free?

Asked by: Daisy
Thank you for your question, Daisy! Our "Brilliance" PVD finishes as well as Chrome finishes include a layer of nickel as part of the finishing process, however these finishes all have other durable protective layers covering the nickel. DST products have no metal exposure to water, therefore there is no nickel exposure with the internal components. Non-DST product do have some metal exposed in the waterway, and there could be some components of non-DST products that contain nickel. If you have a Nickel Allergy we recommend a Brilliance PVD finish as well as a DST model. For more information on this type of finish, please click on the link below. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/innovations/kitchen/brilliance-finishes Best regards, Edward

How far does the control lever rotate forward and back to control temperature? The rear limit is shown in the drawing on the specification sheet, but I would like to also know how far forward it goes. Please specify in angular degrees.

Asked by: John S
That seems like it would prevent fine control of temperature.

The sprayer assembly does not easily fit back into the spout assembly. It is not the hose retraction that is an issue.

We always have to manually push the sprayer assembly back and sometimes it does not go in all the way.
Asked by: Sherry
Hi Sherry, Thank you for your question. The wand is sealed tightly when pushed into the spout and there is some resistance. Try putting a small amount of vegetable oil on the 2 exposed o-rings on the black portion of the wand to slide in more easily. Thanks, Dave

How do I remove faucet filter to removed mineral buildup?  (Model 4153-DST)

Asked by: Mrs C
Hello Mrs C, Thank you for your question. The Delta Linden Kitchen 4153-DST faucet does not come with a removable aerator assembly. We do not recommend disassembling the sprayer assembly. To dissolve any sediment that may collect in the aerator or spray face, just soak the face of the spray assembly in a 50/50 or stronger mixture of white vinegar and tap water for 10 to 15 minutes. The large particles of debris are caught in the bottom end of the spray assembly, where it connects to the hose. Just unscrew the spray assembly from the hose assembly and flush the debris out with water from the hose. Best regards, Tanya

I have a new Delta 4153 DST kitchen faucet. We have well water, and the flow rate is low. I would like to remove the flow restrictor on this faucet, but I do not see one listed on the parts list. Where is it?

Asked by: Gino
Thank you for your question, Gino. There is a flow restrictor located inside the wand assembly. However, we do not recommend to remove or modify the restrictor as this will void the warranty and may prevent it from complying with plumbing codes in your area. Please refer to the Technical Specifications to find the flow rate at 60 PSI. If you are not getting good flow, please check for debris in the back of the wand assembly as this is the most common cause of a reduced flow rate besides low water pressure. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/dsp-k-4153-dst_C.pdf Best regards, Jon

Can the handle of this facet be installed on the left hand side instead of the right?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, Donnaflowers! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install the faucet with the handle on the left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. 2 Questions on Operation

1. Which way do you move the side-mounted lever handle to turn the water ON - Up or Down? 2. Does the pull down “sprayer assembly” have a water shut-off button? That is, can you shut the water flow completely OFF from the sprayer assembly?
Asked by: GrumpyGeezer
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 4153-SS-DST is turned on by pulling the handle to the side. The water is made hotter by pushing the handle to the back and made colder by pulling it to the front. The only way to completely shut off the water is to use the handle on the side. The spray wand will switch from spray to stream but not turn the water off completely.

Sprayer Clogged

My 4153-RB-DST has a partially clogged sprayer which causes the sprayer to spray water in various directions, especially toward the user! How do I clean it out?
Asked by: wyealbert
Hi wyealbert, Thank you for your question. The wand on your model 4153-RB-DST is equipped with our touch clean system on the spray pattern holes. Simply wipe you finger across the rubber nubbins to clean. To clean the entire wand we recommend soaking the wand in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water to help break up any mineral build up. Make sure to rinse the wand when finished. Thanks, Dave

Can this faucet be used with one of the 3" escutcheons?

We are trying to cover up a faucet hole that was drilled about 1/2" too big. We would rather not use the large three hole escutcheon, so we were wondering if any of the smaller escutcheons would fit with this faucet. If so, which model number would fit?
Asked by: tmg
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 4153-DST can either be mounted as a 1-hole or a 3-hole installation. The single hole installation has an escutcheon that is 2 3/4 inches wide and the three hole installation has a 10 inch escutcheon plate. These are the only two escutcheon plates that will work with this faucet.

Thank you for your question, Linda. We would be happy to help. First, slide the handle onto the stem of the cartridge and ensure that the set screw hole is facing the faucet. The set screw should meet the flat part of the stem. Next, move the handle to the on position to provide more room, then tighten the set screw with a 1/8" Allen wrench. It's difficult to completely shut off the faucet (home is 2-1/2 years old). Seems like a new washer is needed but, we disassembled it and don't see a washer to replace. Should we purchase a replacement valve assembly?

Asked by: Linda
Hi, Linda! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. We recommend to clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Unscrew the bonnet nut. Pull the valve cartridge out and clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly. Reinstall the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace both the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587, and the bonnet nut, RP51503. Best Regards, Rosanna

What years was this faucet made? Our house was built in 2013 and we had this installed but I want to put a new cartridge in it as it is noticeably more 'touchy' to get the water completely shut off. For that year what would the part numbers be?

Asked by: Boomer
Hello Boomer, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta 4153-DST faucet model is available from 2010 to the present. For the issue you describe, we recommend flushing the faucet and replacing the RP50587 cartridge if the issue remains. Be sure to securely tighten the bonnet nut with a wrench. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP50587.html To flush the unit, turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. Please reach out directly at customerservice@deltafaucet.com or 1-800-345-DELTA if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best regards, Bryan
