We have the soap pump as well, because our granite had the three separate holes that needed to be filled. We love the sprayer. We’ve had no problems with it clicking back into the faucet after pulling it down. The water pressure is great. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced the same model We had to replace the same model in a house we recently bought because the previous installation was done so poorly that the faucet handle wobbled and even when fully tightened down. The skirt spun around because a tab had been broken during the original installation. It was painful to have to buy a new one but the replacement is much more stable .

After reading some of these reviews I’m thinking I need to replace the cartridge, but I kept thinking it was too soon. I should still be under warranty but the plumber disposed of the packaging. Is there anywhere else to find this information?

Can the Valve Assembly Cartridge be changed to allow the Handle to be vertical?

Difference in finishes

What is the difference between your arctic stainless finish and your stainless finish? Does one match stainless steel appliances better than the other?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet Artic Stainless finish has a bluish tint to it and does more closely resemble the stainless steel appliances that are out in the market today. Delta Faucet Stainless Steel finish has a more gold finish to it and is used in the bathroom to match the gold toned finishes there.

Is this model the exact same where ever it is purchased?

My plumber installed this model 9178-Chrome-DST and charged me $769 for the faucet set, soap dispenser, and installation. When I told him the set was $200 on Amazon with free Prime shipping and so I thought the additional $569 was a bit high for installation his reply was that the quality of his Delta faucet was much better than what I could buy online, because he is a plumber. Is this true? Isn't a Model 9178 Chrome DST the same wherever it is bought??

All Delta faucets feature the same quality parts, materials, and workmanship, no matter what kind of dealer sells them. Delta retail dealers usually sell faucets that include the handles in the boxes. Plumbing professionals and Delta Studio Showrooms sell faucets where the faucets and handles are packaged and sold separately ("LHP" models), giving the customer some additional styling choices. I purchased the 9178-AR-DST less than a year ago.  I am having trouble figuring out what position the handle needs to be in for cold water.  Please help.  Is there a manual I can look at?

Thank you for your question, Barb! When the faucet is installed with the handle on the right, the full cold position is when the handle is tilted away from the faucet and toward you. Is the faucet intentionally set to the return to the center automatically?

Can the faucet handle be mounted on the left side rather than the right?  If not, is there a similar faucet with a left side handle?

Hello Diane, Thank you for your inquiry! We recommend installing the Delta Linden Pull-Down Kitchen 9178-AR-DST faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the front or left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You can compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Best regards, Tanya

Hi. A new water meter was just installed at my home and I've lost prssure in my kitchen faucet. The City said I need to remove the aerator and rinse it, but I can't see how to remove that. The pressure is low on all three of the settings. Can you help me?

I have questions about the Delta Leland kitchen faucet. First, what is the difference between arctic stainless and spot shield stainless? Which one is more likely to match the color of a basic stainless sink?  Does the handle move forward and backward?

Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following a trend seen throughout the kitchen. SpotShield Stainless is a spot-resistant, warm, low-gloss finish with warmer tones, similar to brushed nickel. The Delta 9178-SP-DST Faucet handle rotates forward for hot water. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does the spray/stream revert to a default setting when the water is turned off?

What is the dimension of the space between the friction spacer and the sprayer? I would like to know how far this faucet would extend into my sink.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9178-AR-DST has a hose that is 54" long. It also has a weight on the hose to help retract it back into the spout. It will pull out until the weight hits the bottom of the faucet.

Does the faucet spray wand return to the dock when you let it go or do you need to push it back into the dock?
