RESEÑAS
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Install for me = Child’s Play Easy basic typical install. Installed 120 of these in new condo building.
Date published: 2023-10-15
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Install Issues I bought this unit for a Roman tub set up. After installation the plumber and I realized the handles (valves) turn a half turn rather than a quarter, as specified. So now my handles interfere with each other. Plus, the diverter will not allow the hand held shower to come on unless there is a lot of water pressure and the hand held shower will not cut off unless the water is turned off. It cannot be operated with the plunger behind the spout.

Needing help. Had the R4707 installed along with a roman tub fixture set and the plumber has been back to my house on 2 different occasions for leaks/issues with the diverter. My current issue is that when we turn the hot water on, the shower wand leaks

Following 109457 rev C page 4 step H, is there a gasket between the diverter outlet and leader hose? Or is it just brass connections and plumber tape?

Asked by: MattS
Hi MattS, Thank you for your question! There is a bottom washer that goes under the deck and a top washer that goes between the handle base and valve. Please see the following parts diagram for more information. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-B-R4707_A.pdf Please reach out with further questions! What is the GPM on this unit?

Asked by: Pete
Hi Pete, thank you for your interest in the R4707! The R4707 valve does not have a flow restrictor, so the flow rate will depend entirely on the pressure or PSI in your home. This should be between 15-20 gallons per minute at 40-80 PSI. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. I need a Delta undermount valve for trim kit in my tub remodel. I purchased Delta Roman Tub Faucet w/ Hand Shower Model T4738, and also the Delta valve R4707. My plumber cannot use that valve and has asked me to buy an undermount valve instead.

Asked by: Kathy
Hi Kathy, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The rough-in valve for our T4738 is R4707. We cannot guarantee that a different rough-in valve will work with this model. We appreciate your feedback. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! Best Regards, Kyra Digital Engagement Specialist

Is this pex or pexA?

Asked by: Mary
Hi Mary, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model R4707. The included braided leader hose is not Pex. The inlet/outlet tubes are corrugated copper. The similar model R4707-MF uses PEX cold expansion type connections. R4707-PX uses PEX crimp ring type connections. Cold expansion fittings are intended to be used with Type A PEX. Please reach out if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

The specs say the valve outlet is ½", yet the flow rate is listed at 18.0 GPM. Since 18GPM in a ½" pipe would require pressure of 203PSIA, is the actual outlet size ¾"? Or, is this a ½" output valve which actually gives consumers about 9GPM?

Asked by: bacombs
Hello bacombs, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! Our Delta Faucet valve R4707 has an outlet of 1/2", and the 18.0 GPM was tested with 60 PSI. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

What would cause a significant flow drop to the handheld?  It’s about 1/3 the flow rate

Asked by: Willie
Hello Willie, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta Faucet hand shower flow rate would be determined by the trim kit installed. While the tub filling spout does not have the flow restricted, a hand shower will include a flow restrictor for proper function and will have a lower flow rate. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best regards, Bryan

We purchased this for our existing tub with a trim kit. Once installed, we did not realize that the handles would rotate 180 degrees. We need the handles to turn only 90 degrees, or quarter turn. Is there anything we can do to change it to quarter turn?

Hello Shannon! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you.
