You have to have a series of rags and a lot of elbow crease to get the water spots off - and forget any calcium buildup in the open top of the spout. I would not purchase this again, and after buying a number of plumbing fixtures from both Kohler and Delta, would always recommend Kohler

How do I clean the spout? The water that remains in the spout after each use has left what I think is a calcium stain (a white build up).

Hi Buck, Thank you for your question! Below is our cleaning and care recommendations: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. Is the handle reversible?

I have a kitchen sink faucet with a similar set up, the handle off to the side. I was able to install it with the handle on either side. Is it possible to install the Cassidy single hole - single handle channel spout faucet with the handle on either side? It would be very helpful if it were. It seemed as though there was a picture on your site that showed it the other way but that just may be a reversed image. Additionally, is there a ceiling mounted rain shower haead and mixer valve that accompanies the Cassidy single hole faucet? Thank you for your time and prompt response.

Thank you for your question, KP. This model can only be installed with the handle on the right. Regarding the ceiling mounted showerhead and trim, I would recommend Delta Faucet model # R10000-UNBXHF rough-in valve with the T17097 valve trim. The raincan showerhead is model # RP72568 and the shower arm and flange is either RP61058(6 inches) or U4999(9 inches). Best regards, Jon

Alternative plate installation for Cassidy Single Hole - Single Handle Channel Spout Faucet?

I have a bath counter configured with 3 holes and the 2 outer holes are 8" apart. I know this bath faucet comes only with a 4" plate which will not cover the outside holes. However if I purchase separately RP71545 (the plate for the Cassidy Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Sink Faucet), will it work with this bath faucet to cover the outer holes?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP71545 is not compatible with the 598LF-RBMPU. We recommend that you add a couple of soap dispeners and use one for soap and one for lotion. We recommend Delta Faucet model # RP37039RB.

Does this faucet require a thick tile mounting kit for use with a granite vanity top?

Hi, LauraMN! Thank you for your question. The Delta 598LF-PNMPU Lavatory faucet can be installed in a sink or counter with a maximum deck thickness of 2 1/8" (54 mm). We do not make a thick deck mounting kit for this faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

how far out does the water pour from the channel spout?

We are looking to buy this faucet to accompany the Duravit 1930's pedestal sink which is on 16 3/4" deep from the wall and the basin itself is only 10" front to back. I'm wondering if this faucet will work with the Duravit sink without spilling and splashing all over?

we recently purchased a 598LF-MPU faucet, the drain is for an over flow sink and ours is not. Can I get the top screw lip on top for a non overflow sink ?

Thank you for your question, Michael B! The drain assemblies designed for sinks without overflow holes will use different parts than a standard pop up assembly and the flange body can not be substituted for use with the rest of the drain and stopper for your model. My water flow has almost stopped. I get sediment due to well water. How can I open and clean any filters if sediment to restore flow

Hello Tom, Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing low flow from your Delta faucet. We do recommend to flush the valve to make sure no debris is causing the low flow. To flush, first turn off the water supply to the faucet. 1. Remove the handle. On the lever handle, you should find a Phillps head screw under the top cap cover. The handle will lift off when this screw is loose enough. 2. Once the handle has been removed, unscrew the dome-shaped cap. The domed shaped cap will unscrew counter-clockwise. 3. Once the cap has been removed, grasp the round metal stem. The valve cartridge will pull straight out. Also remove the flow restrictor and rinse these parts. You will need to reinstall these parts later, so be sure to note how they are positioned in the valve. 4. Now, with the valve completely disassembled, place a bucket upside down over the top of the empty brass valve body. Turn the hot and cold water supplies back on and let the water run for about 10 to 15 seconds. The water will come directly up out of the valve and should mostly be deflected back into the sink by the bucket. You might have a little bit of water to clean up, though! 5. Shut off the water supplies. Reinstall all parts. If the flow is not better, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358.
